# refresh_interval

Optional duration string. The default is `"1m"`.  It controls how long the
queue should wait before refreshing the configuration for that queue by
triggering the [get_queue_config](../../events/get_queue_config.md) event when
the [refresh_strategy](refresh_strategy.md) is set to `Ttl`.
