Installing on Linux
Pre-built releases are available for CentOS 7, Rocky Linux 8/9, and Ubuntu 20.04/22.04.
A repository is provided to ease installation on supported platforms.
The install instructions for supported platforms are shown below. If your platform is not listed, you can build from source.

We recommend upgrading to a newer OS as soon as possible.

$ sudo yum install kumomta-dev

To start KumoMTA you can use the systemd service or start manually.
With systemd:
$ sudo systemctl start kumomta
To ensure it survives a restart:
$ sudo systemctl enable kumomta
To start manually in the foreground, (Use the service above it you want it in the background)
$ sudo /opt/kumomta/sbin/kumod \
--policy /opt/kumomta/etc/policy/init.lua \
--user kumod
