Operating System Selection and Configuration

KumoMTA was built from the ground up to be extremely flexible infrastructure. We have built standard package builds (AKA repo install) for the most commonly used Linux Operating Systems, but if you build from source, a wide variety of Operating Systems are possible.

So far we've run non-production tests on the following systems:

Rocky (8, 9)
Alma (8, 9)
Debian (11)
Ubuntu (18, 20, 22, 20.04ARM (aarch64) )
OpenSuse Leap (15.4)
Azure Linux (CBL-Mariner2)
Amazon Linux 2
Kali (2003.1)
CentOS 7

and the following machine types:

Azure
GCP
VMWare
Bare Metal
