Lance beta and RC artifacts are moving to `https://maven.lance.org`. Add
that release repository to the Java parent POM so LanceDB can resolve
explicit preview versions from it, while keeping Maven Central available
for historical releases and other dependencies.
Validated resolution of `org.lance:lance-core:14.0.0-beta.3` from a
fresh Maven cache using the actual `lancedb-core` POM. Maven recorded
the new `lance` repository as the source of both the POM and JAR. The
pinned Lance version and LanceDB's own publishing workflow are
unchanged.
`maintained_indexes` on a MemWAL table has three values: a named list,
`[]` for none, and `null` for every index the table has, including ones
created later. This PR makes every client read all three back as they
were set.
- **Rust remote client** (also used by the Python and Node SDKs) reads
`null` as `None`.
- **Java client** reads `null` as `null`, not as an empty list.
- **Docs** for the setter, the field and the getter describe the three
values the same way in Rust, Python, Node and Java. The generated JS
docs are regenerated to match.
## Testing
- `rust/lancedb`: 73 LSM tests pass, including one case per value. With
the decoder typed as a list, the `null` case fails.
- Java: two cases for `null` and `[]` on the read path, run by the Java
CI job.
- `cargo fmt`, `cargo clippy -D warnings` and `ruff format` are clean.
Updates the Rust workspace and Java Lance dependencies to
[v13.1.0-beta.1](https://github.com/lance-format/lance/releases/tag/v13.1.0-beta.1)
and refreshes Cargo.lock. Removes a redundant `pub(crate)` declaration
in the private Node.js blob module to satisfy the required Clippy check.
Validation: `cargo clippy --quiet --workspace --tests --all-features --
-D warnings`, `cargo fmt --all --quiet`, `pnpm build`, and `pnpm test
__test__/blob.test.ts --runInBand` (26 tests passed) in `nodejs`.

Updates the Rust workspace dependencies, Cargo lockfile, and Java
`lance-core` to [Lance
v13.0.0-beta.18](https://github.com/lance-format/lance/releases/tag/v13.0.0-beta.18).
It includes lance-format/lance#9574, which bounds the memory an IVF
partition split uses when it re-reads raw vectors during
`optimize_indices`, and lance-format/lance#9582, which keeps the mTLS
REST namespace client on rustls.
Lance's new combined-fields FTS query variant (introduced by
v13.0.0-beta.17) is handled the same way as in #4336: the remote
capability check and Rust/Node bindings accept it, with a regression
test for the remote request payload, and the Python conversion reports
that this query type is not yet supported. This PR supersedes #4336.
Update the Rust workspace Lance dependencies and Java lance-core from
v13.0.0-beta.12 to
[v13.0.0-beta.14](https://github.com/lance-format/lance/releases/tag/v13.0.0-beta.14),
including the refreshed Cargo lockfile.
No compatibility fixes were required; `cargo clippy --quiet --workspace
--tests --all-features -- -D warnings`, `cargo fmt --all --quiet`, and
`git diff --check` passed.

[v13.0.0-beta.12](https://github.com/lance-format/lance/releases/tag/v13.0.0-beta.12),
refreshing Cargo.lock.
No compatibility fixes were required; validation passed with `cargo

Update the Rust workspace and Java Lance dependencies to
[v13.0.0-beta.3](https://github.com/lance-format/lance/releases/tag/v13.0.0-beta.3),
which includes the nullable-list encoding fix in
lance-format/lance#9268. Also resolve existing strict Clippy diagnostics
in crate-private OAuth modules and the Python token-cache conversion,
without changing effective visibility.
Validated the rebuilt Python SDK with nullable and nested lists:
Match/Phrase searches preserve document coordinates before and after
appending data and optimizing the table.
Update the Rust workspace Lance dependencies and Java lance-core from
v12.0.0-beta.18 to
[v13.0.0-beta.1](https://github.com/lance-format/lance/releases/tag/v13.0.0-beta.1),
and refresh Cargo.lock; no compatibility fixes were required.
Validation passed: `cargo clippy --quiet --workspace --tests
--all-features -- -D warnings`, `cargo fmt --all --quiet`, and `git diff
--check`.
Also fixes the flaky Node test `when optimizing a dataset › cleanups old
versions` that failed the NPM Publish Linux test jobs on this PR. The
test captured `new Date()` (millisecond precision) in the same
millisecond as the last commit, while Lance compares version timestamps
at nanosecond precision, so that version was not pruned. The test now
waits for the clock to tick to the next millisecond before taking the
cutoff. This is a pre-existing flake on `main` since #4160, unrelated to
the Lance upgrade.

Fix redundant visibility declarations in the Node.js Rust blob helpers

Reverts #4093 (`c4ee8ae`), restoring main's lance dependency to
v12.0.0-beta.5 and the v12 integration surface it carried — the
`read_dir_page` paginated-listing pushdown from #3979, the v12
object-store wrapper APIs, and the shard-manifest call sites.
Pinning lance v11.0.0 stable belonged on a dedicated release branch for
cutting v0.38.0, not on main: main was already on the v12 beta train, so
#4093 was a downgrade of the development line. The released **v0.38.0
stands as published** — this only moves main forward again.
Verified on this branch: `cargo check --features remote --tests
--examples` clean, all 48 `database::listing` tests pass (the restored
store-pushdown pagination versions), `cargo fmt --check` and `cargo
clippy --features remote --tests --examples` clean. The root
`Cargo.lock` is restored by the revert and resolves as-is.
