The listing said 27 drivers and 54 engines in eight languages, which were the
0.18.0 figures. LibreDB Studio 1.0.0 ships 41 drivers, and 27 further engines
speak one of those wire protocols, so 41 drivers reach 68 named engines.
Three defects in the 0.18.2 init.sh, found by review:
The two sed expressions could both fire on one line, so a line holding the key
twice was read as a value compose never sees. The export form now branches out
after it matches.
A value that is set but empty is no longer defaulted to ./data. Compose refuses
the project on one, so the reason is given here instead. An absent key still
takes the default.
The relative branch now reports an existing non-directory the way the absolute
branch does, instead of leaving only mkdir's error.
resolve_app_path now accepts an absolute APP_DATA_DIR_1 and keeps it, so an
upgrade finds the data where the installation already keeps it. 0.16.1 refused
every absolute value and stopped the upgrade before startup. Cleaning of . and
.. is textual, as the daemon's is, so realpath is no longer needed. Values the
compose file would read differently are refused, and a relative value now has
to begin with a dot. Listing numbers come from the 0.18.2 source: 27 drivers
reaching 54 named engines, 10 of the 27 sending only read requests.
Details, measurements and the adapter result are in the pull request.
The Brazilian Portuguese entry had its accents stripped, and that cost it the verb: "e" is the conjunction and "é" is the copula, so the sentence read "LibreDB Studio and an IDE", and "versao" is not a word. Bare "motores" is also the wrong noun on its own, since a motor is what a car has, so it now reads "motores de banco de dados".
Malay had "dilesenkan MIT", a di-...-kan passive taking a bare agent where the form needs "oleh", and MIT is the licence rather than the licensor, so it is now the stative "berlesen MIT". "binaan percuma" is a calque of "free build", where binaan is construction, so it reads "versi percuma" like every other locale.
Japanese had a bare numeral modifying the noun through "の" where the source counts kinds, so it takes the counter and reads "16 種類の", matching the Chinese. The space inside the katakana compound is replaced by the particle it was standing in for.
Russian said "движков" with nothing to disambiguate it, which reads as a storage engine such as InnoDB rather than a database system, so it now says "движков" of "баз данных". The line also had a hyphen where a zero copula calls for a dash, and it was the only plain-hyphen line of its kind in the store, so the sentence now carries a finite verb and needs no dash at all.
Four of the eight description strings change. No count, no version, no image, no port, no volume.
The template mounts APP_DATA_DIR_1 and points STORAGE_SQLITE_PATH at a file
inside it, but never sets STORAGE_PROVIDER, which stays at its default of
local. Saved connections therefore live in the browser, the configured path
is never written, and the mounted volume only ever receives the two sample
databases.
Measured on libredb/libredb-studio:0.16.1 with this compose file. Before,
GET /api/storage/config answered {"provider":"local","serverMode":false}
and the data directory held auth-bootstrap.json, sample-employees.db and
sample.libredb. With STORAGE_PROVIDER=sqlite added it answers
{"provider":"sqlite","serverMode":true} and libredb-storage.db appears
in the volume on the first save.
Same shape as directus in this store, which sets DB_CLIENT beside DB_FILENAME.
Keep one numeric release directory, use the official Docker Hub image, and confine data path initialization to the app root.
