* feat(vcs): IDEA's diff algorithm and change colouring in the diff viewer
Port IntelliJ's text comparison to TypeScript (src/features/vcs/comparison):
Myers/patience LCS with unique-element discarding, ByLine (smart matching
that skips unimportant lines, chunk optimizer, second-step correction),
ByWord (word chunks, punctuation matching, whitespace policies, line block
splitting) and ComparisonManager's compareLinesInner / processBlocks. The
port runs IntelliJ's own LineComparisonUtilTest, WordComparisonUtilTest and
SplitComparisonUtilTest cases (459 runs), converted to ideaCases.json.
MergeView chunks now come straight from these line fragments, with the
inner word fragments as chunk changes, instead of @codemirror/merge's
presentable diff. Revert and >> / << replace lines as
DiffUtil.applyModification does.
Colour changes as IDEA does: modified (blue), inserted (green) and deleted
(grey) by chunk type, a lighter line background for chunks whose words were
compared, each word fragment in its own type at full line height, a thin
bar for a fragment empty on one side, and the colours carried into the
gutters and the divider bands. New --diff-modified / --diff-inserted /
--diff-deleted theme tokens, imported from .icls DIFF_* attributes.
Add a Playwright suite over a generated git repository of diff cases,
including 10,000-line files, in every viewer mode.

* fix(vcs): preserve unified revert boundaries and bound large diffs

* fix(terminal): Line height, colour palette and tab names
- Line height: with "Use editor font" the terminal took the editor's roomier
line height (about 1.33 cells), stretching ASCII art and box drawing. It now
always uses Settings › Tools › Terminal › Line height (default 1.0); that
field moves out of the "Use editor font" group since it applies either way.
- Colours: the terminal gets its own --terminal-ansi-* palette (the light and
Darcula terminal colours); the Run console keeps --ansi-*. High-contrast and
palette themes keep their console colours. Colours below a 4.5:1 contrast
with the background are adjusted (xterm's minimumContrastRatio), so yellow
stays readable on white.
- Tab names: tabs keep their default name ("Local", "Local (2)") at the prompt
and show the title a program sets only while a command runs. Shell
integration now marks command start and end (OSC 133 C / D) for zsh,
bash 4.4+ (PS0) and fish.
* fix(themes): Document the terminal ANSI palette for theme plugins
The --terminal-ansi-* tokens belong in a theme's editor colour scheme, like
--ansi-*. The theme plugin template sets them and the token reference lists them.
Adds Solarized Light, Solarized Dark, One Light and One Dark as built-in themes across the workbench, editor, terminal and Mermaid, keeping the original palettes (MIT notices in THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES.md, mapping in docs/themes.md).
- Native window colours are read from tokens.css at build time (`theme_frame.rs`) instead of a second colour table.
- Startup restores the built-in palette before first paint.
- Editor schemes, the terminal and Mermaid refresh on switches between themes of the same kind.
- The plugin packages of the same themes are removed.
- A test requires every built-in palette theme to define each token (only listed ones may inherit from the base theme), so new tokens can't silently miss them.

Solarized Light/Dark and One Light/Dark ship as theme plugins (plugins/theme-solarized, plugins/theme-one) with complete UI tokens, editor schemes and terminal colours, and the original palettes' MIT notices. Installing a plugin now also copies its LICENSE/NOTICE/COPYING.
Theme handling that benefits every plugin theme:
- The last plugin theme is restored before first paint (splash, workbench); the native window background follows the theme.
- HSL / color-mix() / var() colours are resolved to RGB for native windows, the Settings window and Mermaid.
- Mermaid, the terminal and editor schemes follow switches between two themes of the same kind.
- An explicitly chosen editor scheme wins over a plugin theme's editor colours.
Supersedes #85.

Two editor toggles under Settings › Editor › Color Scheme › Language Defaults (off by default, also actions `editor.toggleRainbowBrackets` / `editor.toggleSemanticHighlighting`):
- Semantic highlighting (IDEA's rainbow variables): locals and parameters coloured by a name hash from LSP semantic tokens; fields, statics, constants, library symbols untouched.
- Rainbow brackets (VS Code's bracket pair colorization): (), [], {} by depth, unmatched in the error colour, strings/comments skipped, visible ranges only with 4 KB checkpoints.
Palettes are theme tokens (`--syn-rainbow-1..5`, `--syn-bracket-1..3`, light/dark/high-contrast), editable in the Color Scheme tree, and mapped from IntelliJ `.icls` RAINBOW_COLOR1..5.
App verification on macOS found the colours were overridden by the syntax highlighter's span nested inside the marks; the rules now cover descendants. Verified both toggles on/off live in a TS file.
Fixes#56https://claude.ai/code/session_01VUYsdXA2nkF5v6zsC93dpn
Per the maintainer's decision for #24, no third-party themes are bundled; instead a theme plugin template and docs let the community port themes (IntelliJ also ships few themes, the rest are plugins).
- templates/theme-plugin: manifest-only plugin with an original example (Harbor Night) covering every UI token and an editor scheme (.icls equivalent).
- docs/plugins/themes.md: format, IntelliJ / VS Code porting tables, generated token reference (pnpm gen:theme-docs); drift test fails when tokens.css and the template/reference disagree.
- pnpm theme:import-intellij: dependency-free converter for IntelliJ .theme.json (+ .icls).
- Plugin host: themes may name an editor-scheme merged over the theme; comments allowed in theme files.
- Fixes: a plugin theme's kind now switches the light/dark base; plugin themes go in their own stylesheet so the Appearance accent and editor scheme still layer on top.
Verified: ide-plugin tests, vitest (44), in-app on macOS: installed the template from disk, applied Harbor Night (dark base + teal accent over Islands Light), back to default restored the light theme.
