thomasandClaude Sonnet 5.5 6087b8b8e8 fix(windows): match the native window theme to the app theme
The native outline and shadow followed the OS appearance, so a light app
theme in OS dark mode drew a dark border around project and settings windows.

l0ng-ai 2c9a6470ff feat(project): add project trust and restricted execution mode (#517)
Projects now open with a user-owned trust decision. The prompt offers Preview in Restricted Mode, Don't Open and Trust Project, with an optional trusted parent folder; preview is the default focus so Enter never grants trust.

Restricted projects keep browsing, editing, saving, search and highlighting. Project-controlled execution is denied by default in the backend: run, debug, build, tools, language servers, plugins and Git commands that could honour repository configuration. Trusting a project enables those paths without reopening it, and decisions can be revoked in Settings.

Terminals stay available when the user opens one, without project shell settings, environment or virtualenv activation. A shell prompt that runs git in the folder can still honour the repository's core.fsmonitor.

l0ng-ai 17e3cd2b39 fix(editor): synchronize external file changes on focus (#564)
Open files only reloaded from file watcher events, so a change the watcher skipped stayed stale in its tab: excluded and git-ignored folders, files outside the project, and missed events.

- Re-check open documents against disk when the window gains focus, off the UI thread and debounced. Clean documents reload, dirty ones keep the existing warning, and unchanged ones cost one metadata call.
- Refresh the project tree and Git status on the same focus event.
- Add "Synchronize external changes when switching to the IDE window" under System Settings, on by default.

l0ng-ai ee2585e7e9 fix(deployment): filter servers by selected path coverage (#544)
The server choosers listed every configured server without checking mapping coverage or exclusions, so choosing the wrong one silently skipped the files.

- Add a shared eligibility check, available through desktop IPC and host RPC, that never contacts a server.
- Filter Upload to, Download from, Compare and Delete choosers by it. A selection lists a server if it covers at least one path, and the rest are reported as skipped.
- Explain why the default server cannot take a selection, by file name, instead of doing nothing. Apply the same exclusion rules when a transfer runs.

l0ng-ai 27ed0515e8 feat(editor): support transparent native-to-ascii conversion (#537)
Properties documents passed through charset decoding alone, leaving Unicode escapes in the shared document text.

- Add a default-off "Transparent native-to-ascii conversion" setting under the properties encoding and a stable action. Changing it reloads clean properties buffers in place; dirty buffers keep their codec.
- Decode eligible escapes and surrogate pairs when constructing documents, and save non-ASCII as uppercase escapes in pure ASCII. Backslash pairs, malformed escapes, unpaired surrogates and line terminator escapes stay literal, so an edit cannot split a property across lines.
- Use the same codec for search, closed-file readers, Git diffs, staging and partial commits. Clean saves and undone edits preserve the original bytes.

xRookieFightandxRookieFight a553dafa7a feat(window): use the frameless title bar on Linux (#279)
Linux windows used the GTK menu bar and the system title bar, unlike the frameless main toolbar on Windows.

Linux project and Settings windows now turn off decorations, install no GTK menu bar and draw the main menu and caption buttons in the title bar.

l0ng-ai c0f8557f05 feat(vcs): show shelved changes and act on single files (#531)
The shelf could only unshelve or delete a whole changelist, and could not show what it contained: file selection lost its scope and shelf data was not connected to the diff and patch workflows.

The context menu now has Show Diff, Show Diff in a New Tab, Compare with Local, Create Patch, Copy as Patch to Clipboard and Import Patches, alongside Unshelve, Rename and Delete. Actions on a file node apply to that file only, including unshelve and delete. Diffs use the base saved with the shelf, and quoted, added, deleted and binary files are handled.

l0ng-ai 290abd303e feat(deployment): deploy to a local or mounted folder (#521)
Deployment only supported SFTP, so a web root on the same machine or on a mounted share still needed an SSH server.

Servers now have a type: SFTP or Local or mounted folder. A local server has a folder and optional web URL and shares upload on save, upload and download, delete, compare and sync, excludes, mappings and the Remote Host view with SFTP through one backend filesystem. Copies never read the whole file into memory, a file is never copied onto itself, and Test Connection checks the folder exists and is writable. Existing servers stay SFTP.

l0ng-ai 9d670e6262 feat(project-tree): enrich JVM project view icons (#512)
Project rows only showed generic folder and filename icons, so JVM modules, packages and declarations looked alike.

Rows now show Maven and Gradle project and module icons, packages, Spring configuration and Boot application classes, runnable classes, test classes, Java and Kotlin declaration types, and generated, compiled and javadoc output folders. Editor tabs, Goto File and Recent Files use the same resolver. Types come from a bounded syntax parse of visible files, served locally and over remote RPC.

Spring stereotypes keep their ordinary type icons, and .class files stay binary.

imacross 059fd8a69b feat(github): pull request tool window, timeline and review flow (#477)
Replaces the Pull Requests tool window with a full review workflow on top of gh's authentication.

- List with search, quick filters and paging; a tab per pull request and a New Pull Request tab.
- Details: commit picker, changes tree with viewed state, CI and reviewer status, merge, close and reopen.
- Timeline editor: comments, review threads, reactions and suggested changes.
- Review in the diff viewer and, for the checked-out branch, in the editor (review mode).
- New generic vcs extension points: registerDiffViewerProvider, lineInlays, reviewGutter, branch widget extensions; new vcs_merge_base and gh_api commands.
- CSP: img-src allows https://avatars.githubusercontent.com for avatars.

Fixed while testing against a real repository: remotes behind an SSH host alias, mergeability stuck on UNKNOWN, Apply Locally staying disabled after a checkout, relative links navigating the app's page, and review inlays wider than the pane.

arookieofcanda-rookie-of-C-language 2754cf327f feat(editor): drag an editor tab out to a standalone window (#470)
Dragging an editor tab past the window edge, or choosing Open in New Window from its menu, now opens the file in its own window and closes the tab here. A text file is saved first and a custom document runs its Save / Do not Save / Cancel guard once; if saving or opening fails, the tab stays. The new window is forced even when the project is already open elsewhere, and a file outside the project opens as LightEdit.

Dragging out tool windows is not covered. Refs #454

arookieofcanda-rookie-of-C-language d5fe771eed fix(lsp): allow long jdtls workspace builds and make Java launch resolution cancellable (#449)
java/buildWorkspace builds the whole imported jdtls workspace, and its 5-minute cap failed launches in large multi-module projects. The budget is now 20 minutes, and the timeout error names it so a real stall can be told apart.

Waiting that long needs a way out, so java_resolve_launch now takes a RequestId and is cancellable locally and over remote. The token reaches the jdtls ready and import waits, the requests (sending $/cancelRequest), and the external build. Stopping a run session during this phase cancels silently and does not launch. Starting a debug session passes a request id but has no stop path yet.

Workspaces open several local project folders in one IDE session (File › New / Open / Manage Workspace…, or Attach when opening a project, which creates a workspace automatically for a plain project window). l0ng-ai 5bab140968 fix(lsp): report incomplete rename and caller searches, make them cancellable (#472)
Rename and incoming calls open the project files that mention the name, like
Find Usages, but dropped the reason a search could miss usages and could not be
cancelled. A rename past the 300-file limit changed part of the usages without
saying so.

- Rename and call hierarchy return why the result may be incomplete and take a
  request id for cancel_request.
- A rename that may have missed usages always opens the preview, with a warning.
- The Callers tree shows the note above the tree or on the expanded node.
- Candidates too large or not readable as text are reported as skipped.
- A newer rename or hierarchy query cancels the one it replaces.

l0ng-ai 92b3ae508c feat(run): Tomcat local run configuration (#392)
Adds Tomcat Server › Local run configurations for WAR applications: installation validation and version detection, Maven/Gradle WAR artifact discovery and build before launch, WAR file or exploded-directory deployment, context path and HTTP port, project JDK or a chosen JRE, VM options, environment variables and opening the browser.

Each configuration runs with its own CATALINA_BASE in the project cache (HTTP, shutdown and local JMX ports configured there); Stop requests a clean shutdown before the usual process timeout. Debug attaches the Java debugger over JDWP. Update Application (Cmd+F10) updates resources, classes and resources with HotSwap, redeploys or restarts the server. Configurations are grouped under Tomcat Server in the configuration tree and Services.

GuoYuandguoyucode d9d1caa476 feat(vcs): add Add to .gitignore to the commit changes menu (#371)
Unversioned files and folders in the Commit tool window's changes menu offer Add to .gitignore / Add to .git/info/exclude, the same action as the Project view's Git submenu. vcs_add_to_ignore returns the ignore files it changed and the IDE opens the nearest one after writing. A selected symlink or Windows junction is ignored by name without a trailing slash; symlinked ancestors are still refused, and already-ignored paths are left unchanged.

Archived agent tasks could be opened but never returned to the active list, so their message composer stayed disabled. arookieofcanda-rookie-of-C-language e85ffa2ae8 feat(git): remember HTTPS credentials in the app secret store (#321)
Git no longer asks for the HTTPS user name and password on every fetch, pull and push. The password prompt offers "Remember for this host"; the credential is saved in the app's secret store (next to the saved SSH passwords, never in git's global configuration) only after the git command that used it succeeds, and a stored credential the server rejects is forgotten so the next command asks again. Settings › Version Control › Git lists saved credentials and forgets them.

Each git child gets its own id, passed to the askpass helper, so concurrent commands never save or forget each other's credentials. ide-vcs reports command completion through an observer installed at start-up instead of depending on ide-ssh. Credentials are keyed by scheme, host and port, and only git's authentication errors (Authentication failed, HTTP 401/403 responses, invalid username or password) forget a stored credential.

l0ng-ai 2c10b63f76 fix(settings): fit the settings window within the monitor work area (#323)
The Settings window opened at its remembered or default size even when that did not fit the current display, so on a 1920x1080 screen (or one with a taskbar or scaling) its bottom, including OK / Cancel / Apply, was cut off. Before showing, the window is now sized and positioned within the parent's monitor work area, in that monitor's logical coordinates and including the native frame; a size remembered on a larger display is clamped too, and the minimum size yields to a smaller work area. If the window system cannot report bounds, the window still opens unchanged.

Detected run configurations (Spring Boot and Java applications, npm scripts, Maven/Gradle tasks, pytest, Cargo, Go, …) could not be removed: the − button was disabled because a removed detection would be found again. As in IntelliJ IDEA, they can now be removed and stay removed: the removed id is stored in the workspace-local run.local.toml (suppressed-ids) and detection skips it; saving a configuration with that id again lifts the suppression. Applies to the Run/Debug Configurations − button, the Delete key in its tree, and Delete in the run configuration chooser. Removing a saved override still restores the detected configuration; temporary configurations are unchanged.

Mykhailo Smolinskyiandnntndfrk 922bbf493a feat(angular): highlight Angular templates with control-flow blocks (#284)
HTML files in Angular projects were highlighted as plain HTML. Languages can now declare framework UI modes with root markers (angular.json, node_modules/@angular/core); files under such a root get the framework's editor mode, re-detected when a marker appears or disappears, and the root-marker lookup is shared with language server roots. The Angular Template mode (vendored @codemirror/lang-angular, MIT) adds @if/@for/@switch/@defer/@let blocks, key and animation binding names, and colours {{ }} delimiters.

Lazily loaded editor modes are now loaded before a document's first editor opens, so a file never renders as plain text first (this also left Angular templates uncoloured).

term_spawn was a synchronous Tauri command, so it ran on the main thread; starting the shell forks the IDE process, which takes tens of milliseconds with a large resident set and froze the UI each time a terminal opened. Dimas Victoranddvictor357 0d368ba947 feat(notebook): add native Jupyter notebook editing and execution (#268)
Opens .ipynb files in a native notebook editor, in a project or LightEdit.

- crates/ide-notebook: lossless nbformat documents (unchanged notebooks save byte-for-byte, unknown fields kept, external changes detected) and owned local kernels over ZMQ via kernelspec — the selected Python environment only needs ipykernel, no Jupyter server.
- ide-host owns notebook documents per project incarnation and admits one execution batch at a time; outputs stream over IPC channels and kernel status is an IdeEvent.
- src/features/notebook: virtualized Python/Markdown cells, insert/delete/move/change type, Run Cell / Run All (Shift+Enter), interrupt, restart, interpreter selection from ide-sdk discovery, shared split views. Raw/unknown cells stay read-only.
- Custom editor kinds take part in dirty state, save/save all, undo/redo and Save/Don't Save/Cancel; closing editors from other features awaits that decision.
- Outputs: text, tracebacks, PNG/JPEG and sanitized SVG inline; HTML sanitized in a sandboxed iframe without allow-same-origin; JavaScript output is shown as inert source.
- Explicit launches (opening a notebook from the OS) win over session restoration.

Walter Wangandbghtyu 00693334f7 feat(settings): add editable font search and refresh (#251)
The font pickers (editor, fallback, UI, terminal) become editable comboboxes: type to search installed families or enter any family name, and Refresh re-reads the system fonts. ide-fonts' cached family list is now refreshable (DirectWrite re-queries the system collection with checkForUpdates; CoreText and fontconfig are read anew), exposed through system_font_families(refresh). Before the first native result the pickers fall back to Canvas detection of common families; saved names and the last catalog are kept when a refresh fails. Fonts are enumerated on the local desktop in remote-development windows too.

The font pickers never read the installed fonts: they probed a hard-coded list of ~30 names with canvas width checks, so anything outside the list never appeared and the monospaced filter changed nothing. Every font picker — editor font and fallback, terminal font and fallback, UI custom font — uses one FontSelect with prefix type-ahead, a real monospaced filter, and keeps an uninstalled selection visible.

l0ng-aiandClaude 9d4e778c7b feat(settings): HTTP Proxy settings for the IDE's outgoing connections (#194)
* feat(settings): HTTP Proxy settings for the IDE's outgoing connections

Add Appearance & Behavior › System Settings › HTTP Proxy with three modes:
No proxy, Auto-detect proxy settings (the default; environment proxy as
before) and Manual proxy configuration (HTTP or SOCKS, host and port, a
comma-separated "No proxy for" list with `*` wildcards, optional proxy
authentication). "Check connection…" GETs a URL with the settings as edited
and reports the status or the error.

- ide-core: `ProxySettings` plus routing (no-proxy globs, loopback always
direct, credentials percent-encoded), the current proxy for the process,
  curl arguments and child-process variables.
- ide-http: `client::build` / `client::shared` is the one HTTP client
constructor; the HTTP Client requests and the update check go through it.
- ide-tools: curl downloads (tools, JDKs, debug adapters, agent registry,
  remote server) follow the setting.
- A manual proxy reaches child processes (language servers, debug adapters,
  terminals, git) as HTTP_PROXY / HTTPS_PROXY / ALL_PROXY / NO_PROXY.
- The proxy password is kept in the owner-only saved passwords file
(`proxy-password.json` in the app data directory), not in settings.toml.

l0ng-ai 1f9be73174 feat(remote): Reload the environment and apply devcontainer settings on the remote server (#183)
The remote server read the login shell's PATH once and cached it, had no project-level environment, and changed environment variables only took effect after reinstalling or a manual restart.

- Every openidea-server start re-reads the remote login shell's full environment (`$SHELL -ilc env -0`), with the cached PATH only as a fallback when the shell doesn't answer.
- A project's `.devcontainer/devcontainer.json` (or `.devcontainer.json`) applies on remote hosts: `remoteEnv` (with `${localEnv|containerEnv|env:X[:default]}`, workspace variables and `null` to unset) reaches every child process through one environment overlay (terminals, run configurations, language servers, debuggers, build tools, git), and `postStartCommand` (string, array or parallel object) runs once per server start in the project root as a cancellable background task; a failure raises a notification with the exit code and the last output lines without blocking the project.
- Reload Environment (`remote.reloadEnvironment`, File menu and Find Action) re-resolves the login shell and `remoteEnv` without restarting the server, starting from the process's original environment so prepended PATH entries don't pile up; it lists the changed variables, notes that running processes keep their environment, and offers to restart language servers.
- The JSONC reader moves to `ide_core::jsonc` and is shared with ide-run.

l0ng-ai 1c46a1cd04 fix(tasks): Make every background task cancellable, queued or running (#177)
Background tasks often couldn't be cancelled, or cancelling didn't stop them:
- A cancel that arrived before the backend registered the request was dropped (build while saving files, multi-repository fetch/pull between repositories). The host now remembers early cancels (bounded, 2 min), and request ids start at a random value per page.
- There was no queue and no common cancel path: backend-reported tasks (LSP progress, deployment transfers) couldn't be cancelled, and tool installs, VCS operations and update checks had no cancel button in Background Tasks.
- Only the direct child process was killed, and JDK / tool archives were extracted without checking for cancellation.

Tool installs and JDK downloads now share a downloads queue; cancelling a queued task removes it without starting any work. Every task cancels through one path that shows "Cancelling…" and then removes it; tasks that can't be interrupted show a disabled cancel button with the reason. IdeEvent::Task carries `cancellable` with a cancel_task command, cancellable LSP progress sends window/workDoneProgress/cancel, installers, curl and tar run in their own process group and are killed as a group, and extraction checks for cancellation between entries.

l0ng-ai 0cd927edf3 feat(agents): Native Claude Code / Codex drivers, ACP v2 and the ACP Registry (#151)
Agents can run through native drivers or any ACP agent, speak ACP v1 or v2, and be installed from the ACP Registry. Tasks gain fork, in-place edit-and-rerun, steering and usage-limit handling where the agent supports them.

- Native Claude Code (`claude` stream-json) and Codex (`codex app-server`) drivers, each served to the task machinery as an in-process ACP shim, using the newest install on PATH.
- ACP v2 with v1 fallback, negotiated on initialize; per-agent capabilities (fork, rollback, steer) so the UI only shows supported actions; usage-limit errors put the task in a `limited` status with the reset time.
- Settings › Tools › Agents lists Registry agents (featured first) to install, update and remove; installed agents update when a project opens. "More agents…" in the provider picker opens it. Registry index and downloads are HTTPS-only, release archives are checked against their sha256, and entries without one show "No checksum provided" and ask for confirmation before installing. Package names from the registry can't be passed as options to npm/uv.

l0ng-ai 64c0f7a79d fix(app): Show update check and download progress as background tasks (#171)
Installing an update gave no feedback: app_install_update discarded the download progress callbacks and downloaded the whole package silently before restarting, the UI had no pending state, and repeated clicks started parallel downloads. Manual Check for Updates also showed nothing while checking.

The update now runs as a status-bar background task: "Checking for updates…", then "Downloading OpenIDEA x.y.z" with size and percentage (streamed over a Channel, one event per percent) and Cancel until the download completes, then "Installing…". A running check or install is shared, so clicks from the notification, the notification log, Help › Check for Updates, the toolbar menu, the welcome screen or Search Everywhere join it; the backend allows one install at a time. Failures show an error notification with Retry. After installing, the app restarts through every window's unsaved-changes check and leaves an "installed" notification with Restart in case a window cancels it. Signature verification, endpoints and updater configuration are unchanged.

l0ng-ai e0af8ccce1 feat(editor): Open tabs in the opposite group, flip splitter orientation and unsplit all (#164)
Adds three split actions to the editor tab menu, the Window › Editor Tabs menu and
Find Action: Open in Opposite Group keeps the tab and opens a copy in the
neighbouring group (splitting when there is none), Change Splitter Orientation
flips the split holding the current group, and Unsplit All closes every other
group.

l0ng-ai a28600c55a feat(editor): Show the enclosing declarations with Context Info (#161)
View > Context Info (Ctrl+Shift+Q on macOS, Alt+Q on Windows) shows the
class, method and block header lines around the caret in a hint, which helps
when they are scrolled out of view.
