Debugs each language's fixture the way the editor does, against openidea-server and the debugger the IDE installs: a breakpoint on the entry point's marker line, Debug from the file's context, then the paused frame, its variables, Evaluate Expression, Step Over and Resume. Runs per language in the Language smoke workflow. The build model is loaded first, as the Build Tools feature does, so a Gradle Application is debugged through Gradle; Step Over allows a repeated stop on a line (Python 3.12 reports a conditional expression's line twice).
* test(run): smoke-test running and testing each language's fixture
smoke/run.test.ts drives the frontend's run store against a real
openidea-server for TypeScript, Python, Rust, Go, Java and Kotlin: the
detected configurations, a run to its output, the tests with the
fixture's failing test switched on (counts, failure name, location and
message in the test tree), and Rerun Failed Tests running only that test.
`pnpm smoke` runs it; the Language smoke workflow runs it per language
after the code intelligence smoke.
* ci(language-smoke): let main's runs finish
Merges to main came faster than a run, so each one cancelled the run
before it: main never finished the smoke nor saved the build cache PRs
restore. Only a PR's runs are superseded now.
* test(lsp): smoke-test everyday code intelligence per language with real servers
A new ide-host integration test drives completion, go to definition, Find
Usages, hover, diagnostics with a quick fix, an intention, formatting and
rename on each language's fixtures/ project, through the ops the app's
commands call and the language server the app starts by default:
TypeScript (vtsls), Python (basedpyright + Ruff), Rust (rust-analyzer),
Go (gopls), Java (jdtls) and Kotlin (kotlin-lsp). A failure names the
language and the operation.
The tests are ignored by default; a Language smoke workflow installs pinned
server versions and runs one language per job on changes to crates/,
languages/ and fixtures/. Adds fixtures/java-app (Maven, JDK 21) for Java.
* test(lsp): rename TypeScript from a usage and check Rust errors while typing
Covers the fixes the smoke test turned up: a TypeScript rename started at a
call site in another file renames the declaration (#1301), and rust-analyzer's
own diagnostics and fixes arrive without saving (#1306).
Native folding matched comment node names case-sensitively and stripped delimiters character by character, so XML comments were skipped and the `<` in editor-fold tags was consumed. The frontend hardcoded its own comment prefixes. Both now strip the configured comment tokens from the language definitions, so region and editor-fold markers work in block comment languages (XML, HTML, Vue, SVG, CSS and others), and Navigate > Custom Folding lists them. Languages without a bundled grammar get a fallback for own-line markers. Rust and frontend tests share one fixture over 22 language configurations.
Fixes#583
Project rows only showed generic folder and filename icons, so JVM modules, packages and declarations looked alike.
Rows now show Maven and Gradle project and module icons, packages, Spring configuration and Boot application classes, runnable classes, test classes, Java and Kotlin declaration types, and generated, compiled and javadoc output folders. Editor tabs, Goto File and Recent Files use the same resolver. Types come from a bounded syntax parse of visible files, served locally and over remote RPC.
Spring stereotypes keep their ordinary type icons, and .class files stay binary.
