The overview lane sat over the scrollbar with pointer-events: none and is 12px wide, the native scrollbar 10px: a press on the lane's edge, or where marks covered the thumb, reached the text layer and dragged a text selection instead of scrolling. The lane now owns the vertical scrollbar, as IntelliJ's error stripe does: the native one is hidden, the lane's thumb drags (with the same geometry it is drawn with), and a press above or below the thumb pages the editor.
