Deleting a favorited dashboard failed or left ghost rows behind: 1. Bulk delete sent activeFolderId as the `?folder=` param. In the Favorites view that is the `__favorites__` pseudo-folder id, which the backend 404s on — so bulk delete never worked there for any dashboard. Favorites can also span folders, which one folder-scoped call could not cover. Group the selection by each row's real folder_id and issue one call per folder; a normal folder view collapses to the single request it always was. 2. Nothing pruned the favorites setting when a dashboard was deleted, so the Favorites view kept rendering the row from its stored label. Add removeFavorites() and call it after single and bulk delete, plus a self-heal on entering Favorites for deletions made elsewhere (another tab, the dashboard view). It deliberately does not revert on a failed write — the dashboard is already gone, so restoring the row would recreate the ghost the cleanup exists to remove. 3. Folder navigation is cache-first, and bulk delete never touched the store, so the deleted rows reappeared in their source folder until a manual refresh. Add evictDashboardsFromCache(), mirroring what deleteDashboardById already does for the single-delete path. Only ids the backend did not report as unsuccessful are evicted, so a partial failure keeps the surviving rows visible. Also snapshot the selection before reading the `dashboards` computed in bulk delete — that computed resets selectedIds as a side effect, so the new folder-grouping could otherwise have deleted nothing. This template should help get you started developing with Vue 3 in Vite.
Recommended IDE Setup
VSCode + Volar (and disable Vetur) + TypeScript Vue Plugin (Volar).
Type Support for .vue Imports in TS
TypeScript cannot handle type information for .vue imports by default, so we replace the tsc CLI with vue-tsc for type checking. In editors, we need TypeScript Vue Plugin (Volar) to make the TypeScript language service aware of .vue types.
If the standalone TypeScript plugin doesn't feel fast enough to you, Volar has also implemented a Take Over Mode that is more performant. You can enable it by the following steps:
- Disable the built-in TypeScript Extension
- Run
Extensions: Show Built-in Extensionsfrom VSCode's command palette - Find
TypeScript and JavaScript Language Features, right click and selectDisable (Workspace)
- Run
- Reload the VSCode window by running
Developer: Reload Windowfrom the command palette.

Project Setup
npm install
Compile and Hot-Reload for Development
For stand-alone UI development environment, create .env file and which contains below environment variable
VITE_OPENOBSERVE_ENDPOINT=http://localhost:5080/
npm run dev
Type-Check, Compile and Minify for Production
npm run build
Run Unit Tests with Vitest
npm run test:unit
Run End-to-End Tests with Cypress
npm run test:e2e:dev
This runs the end-to-end tests against the Vite development server. It is much faster than the production build.
But it's still recommended to test the production build with test:e2e before deploying (e.g. in CI environments):
npm run build
npm run test:e2e
Lint with ESLint
npm run lint
