Brennan Benson 619ee2cc90 fix(agent-hooks): detect IDS-truncated hook POSTs instead of failing open silently (STA-2870) (#14625) 2026-08-17 15:15:14 -07:00
Neil bc28107864 refactor(hooks,relay): split agent hook services and relay under the max-lines budget (#14725)
The four agent hook services, the main hooks module, and the two relay modules
each carried a file-level `eslint-disable max-lines` and ran 365-628 counted
lines against a 300-line budget. AGENTS.md calls for splitting rather than
suppressing, and config/max-lines-baseline.txt is a shrink-only ratchet, so this
removes all seven suppressions and prunes their entries (341 -> 334).

Pure move, no behavior change. Each hook service splits into its managed script
source, its config/bundle serialization, and its remote-install path, keeping the
per-agent integrations independent: copilot, amp, antigravity and hermes each
retain their own getManagedScript rather than sharing one, because each emits a
different script body for a different agent. Merging them by name would have
been a behavior change, not a refactor.

For antigravity the suppression's stated rationale -- that local install, Windows
wrapper generation, status cleanup, and SSH remote install must share one event
list and managed-command matcher so stale-hook cleanup cannot drift by platform
-- is now enforced structurally instead: both install paths call
buildInstalledConfig + createAntigravityManagedCommandMatcher over the single
ANTIGRAVITY_EVENTS catalog, with the graph a strict DAG.

Also registers the six new antigravity/ and copilot/ modules in
config/tsconfig.cli.json. That project uses a curated `include` list rather than
a glob, so an unlisted module fails `tsc -p config/tsconfig.tc.cli.json` with
TS6307 even though the entire unit suite passes.

Verified: oxlint clean, ratchet passes, typecheck clean, full unit suite green
(remaining failures are pre-existing load flakes in untouched files, green when
re-run serially), no new runtime import cycles, and no lint suppression added.

NeilandOrca 971d9548b5 docs(agent-status): make design references self-contained (#13902)
docs/design/agent-status-over-ssh.md was cited from ~10 source files but
does not exist in the repo. Replace each pointer with the invariant the
code actually relies on so the knowledge survives without the doc.

Renderer-side citations (useIpcEvents.ts, agent-status-types.ts) are left
for the concurrent batching change that owns those files.

Neil 991a3fe963 chore(lint): update oxlint to 1.77 and enable no-op cleanup rules (#13901)
Enable eleven oxlint rules that simplify code without changing behavior, and fix
every existing violation. Each candidate was gated on measured cost rather than
assumption, so rules that regressed runtime performance or type checking were
dropped instead of suppressed.

typescript/no-redundant-type-constituents is the largest addition: 113 sites, no
autofix. Dead constituents are deleted. Where the redundant literal existed to
document intent (`string | 'all'`), it is preserved as `(string & {})`, which
keeps the autocomplete hint the original code was reaching for instead of
flattening it away. The rule also caught a broken import —
remote-shared-control-retirement-probe.ts pulled RuntimeStatus from
src/shared/types, which does not export it, so the type silently degraded to
`any`; no tsconfig covers that file, so tsc never saw it.

oxlint stays at 1.77.0 rather than 1.78.0 because .npmrc sets
minimum-release-age=4320 and 1.78.0 is younger than that window.

Rules evaluated and rejected, with what disqualified each:
- prefer-string-raw: String.raw is a runtime call, not a literal (184x slower)
- prefer-string-replace-all: 26% slower
- text-encoding-identifier-case: ~5% slower, reproducible
- prefer-spread: [...str] is 110% slower than split('') and differs on surrogates
- no-implicit-coercion: `!!x` narrows types and `Boolean(x)` does not (22 tsc errors)
- prefer-arrow-callback: arrows are not constructible, breaking `new` on mocks
- object-shorthand: rewrites source text asserted by a tracked reliability gate
- switch-case-braces: pushes ten files past max-lines, which cannot be suppressed
- no-useless-switch-case: drops `case undefined:` that switch-exhaustiveness-check needs
- arrow-body-style: 115 violations have no fix, and it breaks max-lines
- newline-after-import: false-positives on the leading-semicolon ASI idiom

electron-vite-output-contract asserted on the literal
Object.prototype.hasOwnProperty.call text; retarget it to Object.hasOwn, which
rejects inherited keys identically.

* fix(agent-status): preserve Claude background work

* fix(agent-status): harden background task lifecycle

* fix(agent-status): narrow interruption retention

* fix(agent-status): scope background task authority

* fix(agent-status): isolate lifecycle inventories

* fix(agent-status): harden background evidence recovery

* fix(agent-status): reject ambiguous child authority

* perf(agent-status): skip lifecycle inventory scans

* refactor(agent-status): isolate task inventory parsing

* fix(agent-status): gate accepted remote evidence

* test(agent-status): pin session cron interrupts

* fix: harden Claude inventory tracking

* test: pin Claude cron drain authority

* refactor(agent-status): unify Claude turn-boundary predicate

Collapse the five inline copies of the Stop/StopFailure test into a single
isTurnBoundary constant and drop the reportedStateName/stateName alias, so a
future edit can't move one copy and leave the others behind.

Pin the two behaviors that unification now depends on: a non-interrupted
StopFailure keeps gating on live background work, and interrupted state does
not survive a mid-turn lead event that has no prompt submit.

Brennan Benson 48e31b3fc0 fix(agent-status): show Codex v2 subagents (#11059)
* fix(agent-status): track Codex rollout subagents

* fix(agent-status): resolve cross-day Codex child rollouts and unblock CI gate

Codex files each rollout under its own local start date, so a session that
runs past midnight spawns children into a sibling day directory. Scanning
only the parent's directory left 13% of real subagent spawns (48/371 across
local rollouts) permanently unresolved, which pinned a phantom "working" row
and re-ran readdirSync every poll tick forever. Resolve the child's own day
directory from occurred_at_ms, and time-box a child whose rollout stays
unreadable so a deleted or never-written file can't leak a working row.

Also make the hook HTTP handler return void: the changed-code quality gate
keys findings by span overlap, so this PR's added line inside the pre-existing
async createServer callback resurfaced no-misused-promises as a new finding.

Tests cover cross-day resolution, grace-period retirement, and that the poll
re-arms across successive roster changes (the prior tests passed even when
the poll died after its first change).

* fix(agent-status): keep the Codex subagent poll alive across nested hooks

A nested non-codex CLI inherits its parent's ORCA_PANE_KEY, so its hook
POST reached scheduleCodexSubagentPoll and tore the timer down before the
source guard, silently ending polling while a rollout child was still live.

eisen0419andJinjing 3f335efdb9 feat(agents): pi session resume support (#8876)
* feat(agents): pi session resume support

* fix(pi): require persisted session files for resume

* test(sleeping-agent): use non-resumable sentinel in malformed-record fixture

The 'drops malformed sleeping agent resume records' test used agent:'pi' as
its example of an unknown/non-resumable agent, expecting the record to be
dropped. This PR added 'pi' to RESUMABLE_TUI_AGENTS, making that fixture
valid and retained, so the toBeUndefined assertion broke. Switch the
malformed-case fixture to a genuinely non-resumable sentinel
('definitely-not-an-agent') so the drop-malformed path is still exercised;
no other assertions changed.

* Add durable resume identity for Pi sessions without fabricating turn sta

Pi's `session_start` hook now carries the session file needed to resume
a sleeping pane, but until now Orca either discarded it or treated it
as a fake status transition. Thread a `providerSessionOnly` envelope
through the hook listener, relay, main-process server, and renderer
store so resume identity (and its session-file-scoped equality/claim
key) can be persisted and replayed without emitting prompt telemetry
or a visible working/done row.

* Add durable resume identity for completed Pi sessions

Pi's agent_end hook marks a turn done, but the underlying TUI session
stays alive and resumable. Previously a `done` status wiped sleeping
records and launch config as if the session ended, so hibernation,
manual worktree sleep, and quit-capture all lost Pi's resume identity.

- Track a "live recovery" record for done-but-still-resumable Pi
  sessions, exempting it from the usual done-state cleanup paths in
  agent-status.ts and agent-hibernation-planner.ts
- Gate providerSessionOnly rows and sleeping-agent schema records on
  actual resumability (getAgentResumeArgv) instead of trusting the
  presence of a provider session
- Wait for Pi to persist its session file before advertising resume
  metadata, and treat `/reload` as a non-terminal event so it doesn't
  clobber visible status
- Extend SSH relay envelopes to carry providerSessionOnly so remote
  hosts get the same behavior

* Add explicit periodic/quit mode to sleeping-agent session capture

Split captureAllSleepingAgentSessions into 'periodic' and 'quit' modes
so a background checkpoint can no longer downgrade a confirmed-quit
record or promote a completed Pi session without an authoritative
transcript path. Updates all call sites and tests accordingly.

* Use normalizeAgentStatusPayload for default pi status

Remove unnecessary JSON.stringify wrapper and call the appropriate normalization function directly.

BingZandJinwoo Hong 96d1fa1d62 fix(grok): clipboard, native chat, hooks, sessions, ConPTY KKP (#7944)
* fix(grok): restore clipboard and native-chat parity

Grok CLI already supports argv prompts, OSC 52 copy, and image paste chips.
Orca was blocking those paths: stdin-after-start keystroke injection, OSC 52
writes default-off, image-attachment denylist, and native-chat allowlist.

- Launch Grok with positional argv prompts
- Default OSC 52 TUI clipboard writes on (still user-toggleable)
- Treat Grok as image-attachment capable
- Parse ~/.grok/.../chat_history.jsonl for native chat

OSC 52 clipboard *query* remains ignored by design (host clipboard exfil risk);
xAI docs only require OSC 52 write for remote copy.

* fix(grok): sync OSC 52 docs and locale catalog with default-on

Update terminalAllowOsc52Clipboard type docs for the true default, and
refresh locale strings so settings UI mentions Grok alongside other TUIs.

* fix(grok): tool hook matcher, StopFailure, previews, AskUser waiting

Grok tool-event matchers are real regexes; bare `*` failed as match-all.
Install `.*` for Pre/Post tool hooks, add StopFailure for API-error ends,
recognize Grok-native tool input keys, and map ask_user_question PreToolUse
to waiting with interactivePrompt (Kimi-style live card path).

* fix(grok): resolve chat_history under GROK_HOME and long-cwd layouts

Centralize Grok session path helpers so hooks and native-chat honor
GROK_HOME and find chat_history.jsonl by session id when the cwd group
is slug-encoded (encoded name > 255 bytes) instead of only
encodeURIComponent(cwd).

* fix(terminal): keep Kitty keyboard for Grok on Windows ConPTY

Local Windows ConPTY withholds KKP so CSI-u-blind CLIs (e.g. Antigravity)
keep Enter/nav working (#2434). Grok needs KKP for Ctrl+Enter interject and
modified-Enter newline chords; blanking the advertisement for Orca-launched
Grok left those actions broken.

- Prefer KKP when tuiAgent is grok despite ConPTY withhold
- Wire launchAgent from tab/startup into keyboard protocol options

* fix(grok): restore OSC52 default-off, split decoders, honor GROK_HOME hooks

- Keep terminalAllowOsc52Clipboard default false (clipboard exfil risk)
- Split transcript-line-decoders under max-lines without suppressions
- Install local Grok hooks under resolveGrokHomeDir() / GROK_HOME

* refactor(grok): share CLI home resolution

* fix(grok): harden terminal and native chat integration

* test(grok): align CI coverage with native chat support

f238952be2 Agent status over WSL: guest-resident hook relay + WSL-side hook installers (STA-1515) (#7903)
* docs: full design + context for agent status over WSL (STA-1515)

Why hooks don't work on Windows+WSL (loopback transport gap + WSL-side
installation gap), per-client transport map, the OMP-only fixes that
shipped (7642/7641) and why they don't generalize, the recommended
guest-resident relay over wsl.exe stdio mirroring the SSH relay plus
WSL-side hook installers, alternatives considered, validation facts and
gotchas from the 2026-07-08 Windows rig run, and acceptance criteria.

Co-authored-by: Orca <help@stably.ai>

* feat(agent-hooks): agent status over WSL — guest relay + WSL-side hook installers (STA-1515)

Agent hooks have never worked from inside WSL: under default NAT
networking, WSL's 127.0.0.1 is its own loopback, so every hook POST to
the Windows listener dies silently, and hook configs were only ever
written to the Windows home where WSL agents never see them.

Transport: a hooks-only guest relay (src/relay/wsl-agent-hook-relay.ts)
runs inside the distro, binds WSL loopback on the very port the clients
were already given (host-issued token; EADDRINUSE falls back to :0 with
endpoint-file re-coordination, which also covers mirrored networking),
and forwards parsed envelopes over its own wsl.exe stdio into
agentHookServer.ingestRemote — the same shape as the SSH relay. It exits
when stdin closes so a freed Windows port can never be forwarded into a
dead guest listener.

Installation: the unchanged SSH remote hook installers run against an
SFTP-shaped adapter whose primitives are home-scoped fs RPCs served by
the relay, so all 14 managed agents' hooks land in the WSL home over the
already-open channel with zero per-file wsl.exe spawns.

Lifecycle: per-distro manager ensured from buildPtyHostEnv on every WSL
PTY spawn (covers post-restart daemon reattach re-spawns), stale-bundle
reinstall via exit 42, no-node-43 cooldown, bounded retry for wsl.exe
'Catastrophic failure (E_UNEXPECTED)', breadcrumbed failures.

Zero per-client transport changes; listener stays Windows-loopback-only.

* fix(agent-hooks): WSL relay link-death recovery + Codex runtime-home hook install (STA-1515)

Follow-ups from the first Windows-rig validation of PR #7903:

Link death: a mux protocol error or keepalive timeout could kill the
host<->guest link while the guest relay stayed alive returning 204s —
the manager stayed 'running' and every later envelope blackholed
silently (the exact observed signature: Claude hooks POST 204, store
never populates). wsl-hook-relay-link.ts now guarantees exactly-once
death handling from either signal (mux dispose OR child exit); the
manager breadcrumbs it, kills the child, and self-restarts after a
short cooldown since a live agent session produces no new PTY spawns
to re-trigger ensure. ORCA_WSL_HOOK_RELAY_DEBUG=1 traces each received
envelope pre-ingest. A live integration test pins the full host chain:
the real esbuild bundle over real child stdio through the real manager
into a real AgentHookServer.ingestRemote, exact Claude POST shape.

Codex: Orca launches WSL Codex with CODEX_HOME redirected to the
managed runtime home (~/.local/share/orca/codex-runtime-home/home), so
hooks installed to ~/.codex were never read. installRemote now accepts
an explicit codex home (flat layout), threaded from the relay manager;
the config.toml trust write is deferred while the file doesn't exist
(the launch path seeds it only-if-absent — creating it first would
cancel the seed), and the manager re-runs the byte-equality-idempotent
installers on later ensures (30s throttle) to upsert trust once the
seed lands.

Also: WSL test suites now run on Windows dev hosts (fs-backed suites
skip with rig coverage noted; manager suite uses a fixed POSIX home).

* fix(agent-hooks): renderer ownership gate treats wsl:* connection ids as local (STA-1515)

Round-2 rig finding: with the link fixed, WSL hook envelopes reached
ingestRemote and the durable cache, but useIpcEvents.applyAgentStatus
drops any status whose stamped connectionId differs from the owning
repo's — 'wsl:<distro>' !== null for a local repo, so every WSL-relayed
status died before setAgentStatus and notifications.

wsl:* ids are transport provenance, not ownership: the gate now
normalizes them to local via isWslHookRelayConnectionId (shared
contract, also used by the relay link when stamping), while still
rejecting WSL-stamped events against SSH-owned repos. Provenance stays
stamped — it is what made this drop diagnosable.

Co-authored-by: Orca <help@stably.ai>

* fix(agent-hooks): adversarial-review hardening for the WSL hook relay (STA-1515)

Four independent review lenses over the branch; all confirmed findings
fixed before the next rig round:

Endpoint identity (4/4 reviewers): the guest endpoint dir was keyed by
the EPHEMERAL Windows hook port, so a daemon-surviving agent kept
sourcing the dead port-P1 file after an Orca restart — breaking the
restart-resume acceptance criterion and regressing shipped OMP
recovery. Now keyed by a restart-stable instance key (hash of the
Windows endpoint file path, crossed via ORCA_WSL_HOOK_INSTANCE): the
restarted instance's relay rewrites the SAME file, which is exactly
what re-coordinates survivors.

Restart policy: every failure arms the restart timer (one failed
relaunch no longer ends self-recovery), and the timer probes
wsl --list --running first — wsl -d BOOTS a stopped distro, so
recovery must never resurrect a VM the user shut down; stopped-distro
state is dropped instead. Failure counters reset only after 2min of
stable uptime, so connect-then-die loops escalate to the 10-min cap
instead of cycling every 10s. Timer policy extracted to
wsl-hook-relay-recovery.ts with direct tests.

Also: version-namespaced guest install dir (dev+prod instances no
longer reinstall over each other; PID-suffixed tmp files), 30s install
timeout (a wedged wsl.exe could pin the state machine at 'starting'
forever), per-candidate node version probing (apt node 12 on PATH no
longer masks nvm node 20 into a false no-node cooldown), WSL_UTF8=1 +
NUL-stripped stderr (catastrophic-failure matcher survives UTF-16LE),
ordered post-sentinel chunk handoff, port-fallback breadcrumb via the
home handshake, bad home reply now fails the connect, missing-bundle
warn-once, case-normalized distro keys, disposeAll wired to will-quit,
one-shot 60s reinstall timer for single-spawn Codex trust catch-up,
escaped + contract-derived spawn command.

* docs: record round-3 rig validation status for agent status over WSL (STA-1515)

Co-authored-by: Orca <help@stably.ai>

* fix(agent-hooks): round-4 adversarial-review fixes for the WSL hook relay (STA-1515)

- dropState identity race: recovery re-checks state identity after the
  distro-running probe await, and the manager's dropState only deletes the
  exact state it was armed for — an ensure() landing mid-probe can no longer
  have its fresh relay orphaned outside the map.
- Distro-running probe fails CLOSED: a probe error no longer reports
  'running', so recovery can never wsl-d-boot a distro the user shut down.
- Relay spawns use --exec: bypasses the distro's default login shell
  (fish/nushell chsh) and passes argv verbatim, dropping the $-escape shim;
  same form as the Codex WSL login spawn.
- Post-sentinel chunk handoff rides a microtask so an envelope in the
  trailing bytes can no longer dispatch before the link's notification
  handler is registered.
- Guest relay mirrors the SSH relay's uncaughtException/unhandledRejection
  posture.
- Replay cache capped at 256 panes with recency eviction (the WSL relay has
  no per-pane teardown signal); meta map kept in lockstep.
- Launch script derives the stale-exit code from the shared contract
  constant; one-shot reinstall timer refuses to arm after dispose.
- New oracles: sentinel unit suite, fs-bridge scoping suite, fixed-token
  403/204, EADDRINUSE endpoint-file rewrite, cache-cap eviction, and the
  recovery/manager race regressions (verified to fail with fixes reverted).
- Doc: round-4 review section + revised curl.exe stance (kept as the
  no-node fallback — Codex is a native binary; fresh distros ship no node).

Neil ce687221d3 lint(unicorn): enable prefer-number-properties, prefer-array-find, prefer-array-index-of (#7516)
Enable three unicorn rules — one correctness, two performance — and fix every
existing violation repo-wide so the rules pass as errors.

prefer-number-properties (76 sites)
- parseInt/parseFloat/NaN -> Number.* : safe aliases (autofixed).
- isNaN -> Number.isNaN (12 sites, hand-converted): global isNaN coerces its
  argument, Number.isNaN does not. Verified every call site already passes a
  number (Number.parseInt results, number-typed fields, Date.getTime()), so the
  conversion is behavior-preserving today and guards against a future non-numeric
  argument silently coercing.

prefer-array-find (26 sites)
- .filter(pred)[0] -> .find(pred); .filter(pred).at(-1) / .pop() -> .findLast(pred).
  Drops the intermediate array and short-circuits.

prefer-array-index-of (5 sites)
- .findIndex(x => x === v) -> .indexOf(v).

Verified: typecheck (node/cli/web) clean, 53 affected suites pass (1679 tests),
oxlint clean repo-wide. mobile/ uses findLast safely (already ships ES2023
.toReversed()); config scripts and e2e helpers run on Node 24.

NeilandOrca 46646d7ff1 chore(lint): upgrade oxlint to 1.71 + enable 7 new rules (autofixed backlog) (#6841)
* chore(lint): upgrade oxlint to 1.71 and enable 7 new rules

Upgrade oxlint 1.67.0 -> 1.71.0 (1.72 was blocked by the repo's 3-day
minimum-release-age supply-chain guard; nothing here needs it). The
bump is a no-op on the existing config.

Enable 3 error rules (backlog autofixed to zero in this commit) and
4 warn rules (surface signal without gating CI):

error (autofixed, behavior-preserving):
- unicorn/prefer-node-protocol        (~1531 sites: bare builtin -> node:)
- typescript/no-import-type-side-effects (~36: all-inline-type -> import type)
- unicorn/no-array-reverse            (19: copy-then-reverse -> toReversed)

warn (real signal, current fires are test-only/correct):
- unicorn/no-array-fill-with-reference-type  (aliasing footgun guard)
- typescript/no-unsafe-function-type (bans bare Function type)
- unicorn/prefer-array-flat-map              (map().flat() -> flatMap())
- unicorn/prefer-regexp-test (.match() in bool ctx -> .test())

mobile/.oxlintrc.json extends root, so it inherits all 7; the autofix
ran from root and covered mobile/ too.

Verification (all green): oxlint 0 errors (root+mobile+aux configs),
oxfmt clean, typecheck (node+cli+web), vitest 22795 passed / 0 failed,
builds (electron-vite + web + cli) succeed. node: rewrites confirmed to
skip embedded SSH/CLI string payloads (AST-only); all toReversed sites
verified to operate on fresh copies or write-once locals.

* chore(lint): bump mobile oxlint to 1.71 so inherited rules parse

mobile/ is a standalone pnpm project pinning its own oxlint@1.67, which
lacks unicorn/no-array-fill-with-reference-type (needs >=1.70). Since
mobile/.oxlintrc.json extends the root config, mobile CI's 'cd mobile &&
oxlint' failed to parse the new rule. Bump mobile to match root (1.71).

Verified in mobile/: oxlint 0 errors, oxfmt --check clean, tsc --noEmit
pass, vitest 978 passed / 0 failed.

98d02bca47 fix: support windows ssh hosts (#5004)
* feat: add windows ssh relay base support

* feat: support windows ssh relay runtime services

* fix: default windows ssh pty cwd to user profile

* fix: support windows hosts over system ssh

* fix: preserve degraded windows relay native deps

* fix: gate windows shell args by relay platform

* fix: preserve windows relay fallback pipes

* test: align windows native deps relay fixture

* fix: build valid windows install lock command

* fix: address windows SSH relay review findings

Resolve correctness, efficiency, and reuse issues found reviewing the
Windows SSH native-host support:

- GC liveness on Windows now probes the actual named pipe (via node
  net.connect against markers + deterministic candidates) instead of
  substring-matching Win32_Process command lines, which could remove a
  live relay dir. Reports ALIVE conservatively only when there is no
  liveness signal at all (no markers and no seed pipes).
- Resolve the remote node path once per deploy and thread it through
  install/repair/launch instead of re-resolving 3-7x.
- Replace the 200ms node -e poll loop with a single long-lived remote
  wait process during Windows relay startup.
- Skip the no-op executable command on Windows in uploadRelay.
- Make the Windows fallback pipe name deterministic and recoverable
  (drop the global counter), with an extra reconnect attempt.
- Normalize the prepended node bin dir to backslashes on Windows PATH.
- Batch the system-SSH Windows directory upload into a single streamed
  JSON package instead of one ssh process per file.
- Extract relay endpoint/marker helpers into ssh-relay-endpoints.ts and
  consolidate the PowerShell EncodedCommand encoding into the shared
  powershell-command-encoding module.

* Support cancellation and timeouts in Windows port scanning

- Propagate the request AbortSignal and a 5-second timeout to both
  PowerShell and netstat child processes during Windows port scanning.
- Avoid spawning the netstat fallback process if the port scan has
  already been aborted.
- Wrap the .NET OSArchitecture check in a try/catch block during SSH
  Windows platform detection to robustly fall back to environment
  variables if needed.

Brennan BensonandOrca 1f0e060c16 fix(diff-comments): defer root.unmount() in editor cleanup (#1607)
When the editor is disposed during a parent render, the dispose
listener's setState re-runs this effect and triggers a synchronous
root.unmount() inside React's commit work loop, producing React 19's
"Attempted to synchronously unmount a root while React was already
rendering" warning. Snapshot the roots and clear bookkeeping
synchronously, then unmount via queueMicrotask — matches the
deferred-unmount pattern already used in the diff-pass effect.

Brennan BensonandOrca 1041ab4f7c feat(agent-hooks): shared listener + relay adapter (PR 1/N for SSH agent status) (#1678)
* feat(agent-hooks): introduce relay wire envelope + connectionId stamping

Adds the shared `agent-hook-relay.ts` module with the `agent.hook` JSON-RPC
notification envelope, the `agent_hook.requestReplay` /
`agent_hook.installPlugins` method names, and the
`ORCA_FEATURE_REMOTE_AGENT_HOOKS` flag helper. Promotes `AgentHookSource` to
`shared/` so the relay can import it without dragging Electron in.

Threads a `connectionId: string | null` field through `AgentHookEventPayload`,
the `agentStatus:set` IPC contract, and the renderer-bound preload listener.
Local hook posts stamp `null`; the relay-forwarded path will stamp from `mux`
identity in a later commit. Renderer uses the stamp for stale-event filtering
when an SSH connection tears down with notifications still in flight.

See docs/design/agent-status-over-ssh.md §1, §5, §8 (commit #1).

* refactor(agent-hooks): extract shared listener; add relay-side adapter

Extracts the listener internals (request parsing, payload normalization,
endpoint-file writing, per-CLI extractors, warn-once Sets, slowloris timer
helper, request size cap, paneKey caches) from `src/main/agent-hooks/server.ts`
into a new transport-agnostic `src/shared/agent-hook-listener.ts`. The shared
module uses only Node builtins (no Electron) so it is safe to import from
`src/relay/`.

Adds `src/relay/agent-hook-server.ts` — a thin HTTP-loopback adapter that
wires the shared listener to a `forward(envelope)` callback so `relay.ts` can
re-emit each parsed payload as an `agent.hook` JSON-RPC notification on the
existing SshChannelMultiplexer. The adapter owns:

- 127.0.0.1:0 socket + bearer-token auth, identical shape to the local server
- per-paneKey last-payload cache + replayCachedPayloadsForPanes() for the
  request-driven replay path used after `--connect` reattach (see §5 Path 3)
- clearPaneState(paneKey) for PTY-exit eviction (symmetric with local server)
- buildPtyEnv() / endpoint-file writing for relay-spawned PTYs

Orca's `AgentHookServer` is now a ~200-LoC adapter over the shared listener
that owns the IPC fanout, listener replay, and `ingestRemote(envelope, connId)`
entry point that bypasses the HTTP path for relay-forwarded events.

See docs/design/agent-status-over-ssh.md §3, §8 (commit #2).

* fix(preload): expose connectionId on agentStatus.onSet type

src/preload/index.ts already passes through `connectionId?: string | null`
from main, but the PreloadApi declaration in api-types.ts was missing the
field. Align the type with the runtime contract so renderer call sites
can read connectionId without an `as` cast.

* fix(agent-hooks): harden ingestRemote + relay replay; review-driven cleanup

- ingestRemote: re-run normalizeAgentStatusPayload at trust boundary;
  trim+validate connectionId/paneKey/tabId/worktreeId
- relay: preserve source/env/version through replay via sidecar map;
  drop sourceFromAgentType fallback that mis-tagged unknown agents
- shared listener: exhaustive switch+never on AgentHookSource dispatch
  chains; extractPromptText returns trimmed values; export MAX_PANE_KEY_LEN
- preload: tighten connectionId from optional to required (always sent)
- main IPC: reorder spread so explicit envelope fields win on collision

* chore(docs): drop agent-status-over-ssh design doc from PR

The design RFC was useful for authoring this PR series but doesn't belong
in-tree — keeping it here would freeze line-number references and design
prose against future churn. Folding it into the PR description instead.

Co-authored-by: Orca <help@stably.ai>

* chore(agent-hooks): widen ingestRemote type for env/version (PR2 prep)

Declares `env?: string` and `version?: string` on the `ingestRemote` envelope
parameter so PR2 only needs to add the `warnOnHookEnvOrVersionMismatch`
callsite, not also widen the type. The fields are forwarded verbatim from
the agent CLI POST body on the remote and let Orca's warn-once cross-build
/ dev-vs-prod diagnostics fire identically on remote-sourced events.

Type-only addition; no runtime consumer in this PR.
