feat(mobile): localize tasks, new workspaces and source control (#35646)
* feat(mobile): localize tasks, new workspaces and source control Moves the last ~670 strings (task lists and boards, issue and PR sources, the new-workspace flow, and source control) to the translation API, with all ten translations. What remains in the coverage baseline is reviewed non-copy: key names, schema errors and log lines. - Source control section titles recompute on a language change * fix(mobile): align catalog terminology across screens A whole-catalog pass per language reconciled terms that differed between batches (host/desktop, dictation, transcripts, address form) with the glossaries and the desktop catalogs. The page bundle verifier now reports catalog bytes separately. * fix(mobile): keep fetched history and source error slugs language-independent History rows are derived from the fetched page at render so relative times follow a language switch; quality-gate follow-ups for the tasks and source control migration. * fix(mobile): name Android notification channels in the UI language * chore(mobile): drop catalog entries for removed source-control copy * fix(mobile): re-localize the composer source hook on current main --------- Co-authored-by: OrcaWin <293788423+OrcaWin@users.noreply.github.com> |

feat(mobile): localization infrastructure and language setting (#35399)
* feat(mobile): add UI localization infrastructure Mobile follows the phone's language (or an in-app choice under Settings > Appearance) across the same 11 languages as desktop, switching live like the theme does. - i18next with desktop's translate(key, fallback, options) call shape; catalogs in mobile/src/i18n/locales load lazily, English fallbacks stay inline - Hermes lacks Intl.PluralRules: load the FormatJS polyfill with the 11 languages' rules - OTA pages get the shell's language through an optional bridge init field - iOS permission prompts localized; iOS and Android 13+ per-app language pickers - verify:mobile-localization and a coverage ratchet run in lint, check:changed and CI * fix(mobile): mount pages after the newest language request; tighten localization gates - Wait for the latest page language activation, not a superseded one - Keep literal fallbacks when a key also has a dynamic one - Count headerTitle as visible copy; select the mobile check when the runtime catalog generator changes * feat(mobile): repaint themed components on language changes Components that read the theme already subscribe for repaint; a language switch repaints them too, so labels built by helpers during render follow it. RPC recordings load the real i18next and JSON catalogs. * fix(mobile): scope the translate() gate to render bodies and memos; prune stale keys on sync Handlers and effects may call translate() when they run. sync:mobile-localization now removes keys no code references from every catalog. * fix(mobile): use node: imports in the locale config plugin; pass uiLocale in bridge hook test * chore(mobile): refresh the localization coverage baseline * fix(mobile): follow render callbacks in the translate() gate; keep used plural siblings on prune Also let anonymous default-exported screens count as components, flag any plural family a locale started, and mark JSON modules as ES modules in the recording loader. * fix(mobile): treat async and named local callbacks as handlers in the translate() gate * chore(mobile): refresh the localization coverage baseline * chore(mobile): refresh the localization coverage baseline --------- Co-authored-by: OrcaWin <293788423+OrcaWin@users.noreply.github.com> |

feat(mobile): light and dark themes with desktop's palettes (#34217)
* feat(mobile): light and dark themes with desktop's palettes Settings → Appearance offers System, Light and Dark. The shell passes the resolved scheme to over-the-air pages in its init frame. Fixes #22184 * fix(mobile): draw your chat messages in desktop's user bubble Desktop uses a faint surface with a hairline border in both themes; the inverted fill went black in light. * test(mobile): re-measure the page script sweep after the shared theme hooks Every route now imports the theme hooks while the entry does not, so they emit one shared script (96 for the tree). Re-swept every route prefix; the worst route step is now 15. * test(mobile): read themed stylesheets in the text-input font-size census The census only unwrapped StyleSheet.create({...}); inputs styled through themedStyleSheet(() => ({...})) came back unread. |

feat(mobile): Home's New Workspace opens the desktop's create drawer over Home (native part ships with the next app build) (#31305)
* fix(mobile): the home screen's New Workspace opens the create sheet again
The native host-list route dropped the home screen's action=newWorktree when it built
the page's route, so the page opened as a plain list. The route now forwards it, and
the page names it back once applied so a reload does not reopen the sheet.
Reaches phones only with the next native build.
* test(mobile): drop the New Workspace tests that only re-check types and a null guard
* fix(mobile): Home's New Workspace opens the create sheet over Home
Replaces the action=newWorktree route hand-off. The quick action picks a
host (as Tasks does), then mounts the host's create sheet on Home; a
create opens the new workspace's session marked as just created.
The sheet controller becomes a plain visible/onClose component, and the
host screen's route-action state, the action route param and its builder
are deleted.
* fix(mobile): Home's create sheet seeds only proven worktree rows
Home's cold-start seed is a pathless resume row that the name suggester
cannot read, so the sheet now seeds from proven rows and is keyed by host.
The host screen gets one setter for the sheet's visibility and its ref.
* test(mobile): name the Home new-workspace test after the screen it renders
* proto(mobile): Home's New Workspace opens a native drawer hosting the page's create form
Home pushes /new-workspace/<host>, a react-native-screens formSheet over Home whose content is
MobileWebShellScreen for the page route /h/<host>/new-workspace. The page renders the shared
Create Workspace form with its drawers inline, so the form and its pickers fill the native
drawer. The shell's loading, download and failure states render inside the drawer. Prototype only.
* proto(mobile): the New Workspace drawer is the host screen's own sheet over a transparent modal
The native route is a transparentModal hosting the shell over Home; the page route renders the
host screen's NewWorktreeModal on a transparent page, so the drawer is the same component. While
the page loads, the shell shows a placeholder of that sheet (scrim, grabber, spinner or download
bar), and the page's sheet opens in place without its slide. A host that cannot serve the page
(old desktop, blocked, failed) opens the host list instead of a wall in a drawer.
* feat(mobile): Home's New Workspace opens the page's create drawer over a dimmed Home
A transparent native overlay route hosts the host picker and then the page's
/h/[hostId]/new-workspace route, which renders the same NewWorktreeModal as the
host screen's +. The native scrim matches the drawer backdrop and the page's
first drawer opens already dimmed, so Home stays dimmed throughout. Old desktops
without the route fall back to the host list.
* fix(mobile): one loading layer for Home's New Workspace overlay
The overlay route owns a single tappable loading layer (spinner, or the
download on a small card) that stays mounted from the pick until the page
paints, so the fade and spinner no longer restart per shell state. The shell
reports its load and shows the host list for anything it cannot open; the
picker hands the pick over at once and keeps sliding away. The page's first
drawer takes the dimmed backdrop once, and a gate's overlay pending view no
longer stacks a second scrim over a mounted stack. Native /h/[hostId]/new-workspace
redirects to the overlay. Drops the unused session-route params, the
clipboard grant, and pass-through tests.
* feat(mobile): New Workspace loads in a short drawer over an undimmed Home
While the page loads, the overlay shows one short native drawer in the shared
drawer chrome with a spinner or the download, and nothing dims Home: a tap
above it, a drag down or Back cancels. The page's real drawer then slides up
with its own backdrop exactly as on the host screen's +. Drops the native
scrim, the loading card and the already-dimmed backdrop handoff; the overlay's
WebView stays invisible until the page paints, since a fresh one draws opaque.
* feat(mobile): the New Workspace loading drawer dims Home like any drawer
The short loading drawer opens with the shared drawer backdrop and show
duration, and a tap on that backdrop, a drag down or Back cancels. It stays
in the screen's own window (a native Modal over the loading WebView stalls
the page) and goes in the frame the page paints: the shell reports its load
from a layout effect so the WebView shows and the drawer leaves together.
* fix(mobile): the page's first paint waits for a drawer opening with it
A drawer opening as its page screen mounts holds that screen's first-paint
report until its open animation ends, through a hold on the existing report
rather than a new bridge message. The New Workspace overlay's loading drawer
now stays until the create drawer is up, so a cold open no longer shows Home
undimmed between the two.
* refactor(mobile): the New Workspace overlay owns its exits; the loading drawer fades out
The shell no longer imports the feature: an overlay is a shell with
onOverlayLoad, which reports `unavailable` for what it cannot show, and the
overlay route opens the host list for every exit. HostProtocolGate takes one
transparentWhilePending flag. The loading drawer's drag handler follows a
stable cancel, and on paint the drawer fades out eased in, as the shell's page
cover does, because the WebView takes a frame or two to show the page after it
is revealed; removing it outright left Home undimmed for those frames.
* Revert "fix(mobile): the page's first paint waits for a drawer opening with it"
This reverts commit

feat(notifications): open a server agent's notification on its server (#26518)
* test(e2e): add a paired phone client helper and phone-mirror baseline specs
Later phone-mirror slices need one oracle that drives a real mobile-scoped device with the
phone's own capabilities against a serve host or a paired desktop. Pins #26022 across a serve
restart and today's gap: a desktop's phone does not list the desktop's server workspaces.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* feat(mobile): show SSH host health on the workspace row host badge
Rows on an SSH host the desktop cannot reach looked healthy on the phone. The badge now
adds the desktop sidebar's own word ("devbox · Disconnected"), derived by the same shared
function from the connection status ssh.listTargetSummaries already sends; old desktops keep today's badge.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* test(e2e): compose the phone-mirror topology and check the cold snapshot
Slices need one composer for host, desktop and phone with a single teardown, so specs stop
copying setup. The serve-restart spec now reads the first tab-stream snapshot after the cold
start, which is what the phone builds its tab strip from.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* feat(mobile): name an unhealthy SSH host even in a single-host list
The desktop card shows SSH status on any host count, so the phone now reads target summaries
whenever a repo is on SSH and badges an unhealthy host alone too. Labels and health share one
target-to-host keying, and a hook-level test pins the reply-to-row wiring.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* test(e2e): keep phone-mirror teardown errors from masking test failures
Teardown failures become a test attachment instead of replacing the real failure, and the
cold-snapshot poll reports stream errors together with the PTY list.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): clear stale SSH host badges and announce them without the dot
A catalog that no longer spans hosts or holds an SSH repo now clears the health and label maps,
so a host that left cannot keep badging rows. The badge gets a screen-reader label ("devbox,
Disconnected") instead of reading the middle dot.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* feat(runtime): let a paired desktop register its phones as delegated mobile devices
A desktop paired to this runtime can now call pairing.delegatedMobileDevice.sync to make each of
its phones an ordinary mobile-scope device it owns, so the phone mirrors that host through the
desktop. Children are never pending, inherit the parent's reach, and die with the parent's grant.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* refactor(runtime): move the mobile device revoke primitive below dispatch
Dispatch binds the caller-bound delegated-device context, so the revoke path it needs now lives in
a layer under it as a pure move; this drops the abstract method seam. No behaviour change.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(runtime): keep a runtime grant until its delegated phones are revoked
A failed child cleanup now leaves the parent in place so a retry can still find the children, and
revokeRuntimeAccess lives beside the revoke it cascades to. Adds restart, rename and bounds coverage,
shares credential minting, and drops the timing-dependent census.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(runtime): fail a delegated sync whose dropped phone cannot be revoked
Matches the parent revoke: a child whose cleanup could not be saved is kept and the sync errors
before minting anything, so the desktop retries instead of believing the server matches its list.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* feat(mobile): relay a paired phone's server-workspace requests through the desktop
A phone mirrors its desktop, including workspaces on the desktop's configured servers. The desktop
now forwards a request that names `executionHost: runtime:<env>` to that server over one socket per
(phone, server), signed in as the phone's delegated device; replies pass through untouched except
stream ids. Hidden until the phone client ships: the relay capability is not advertised yet.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* test(mobile): type the single-host health fixtures inline so the test tsc passes
Fixtures hoisted into consts widened their health maps to string, which the now-required
hostHealthById rejects under the tests-typecheck ratchet; passing them inline keeps the union.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* docs(mobile): state the desktop relay contract in its entry module
main dropped docs/reference, so the relay's contract lives beside the code. Also pins that a
server whose delegated sync fails (e.g. delegated_device_revoke_failed) is unavailable until a
later request syncs it again.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* test(mobile): pin the relay's configured-server adapter
The production hosts adapter was only typechecked; this pins that it resolves configured servers
by exact id only (never a name or a removed server), fences by pairing revision and runtime
identity, and stops reporting retirements once unsubscribed.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* test(mobile): re-record the repo-metadata goldens for SSH host health
The settled metadata state now carries hostHealthById, and an SSH-only catalog now reads the
target summaries so a lone unhealthy host can be badged. Scoped re-record via rpc-recording.mts.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* refactor(mobile): tighten the desktop relay after elegance review
Reuses the shared E2EE socket opener, folds relay state into fewer fields, never sends a request
whose link ended while opening, passes failure codes through, relays only this desktop's own
phones, and drops the unused host-state reader until S2 needs one.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): bound relay frames and stop sticky relay verdicts
Restores the 8 MiB frame cap on every remote runtime socket, re-checks an update-needed server on
each new link so an in-place upgrade relays, answers a phone the server just declined without
syncing again, and ends a link whose mirrored capability update cannot be queued.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): run targeted desktop-owned calls on the desktop
The phone tags every call on a workspace screen with its execution host, so a
paired-desktop method carrying `runtime:<env>` now runs locally instead of
failing 'forbidden'. The Mac stays the only reader of the routing table.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* feat(mobile): list the desktop's configured servers and their last workspace rows for the phone
The phone needs the same host list the desktop shows, including servers that are offline or
too old to relay to. mobileRelay.hosts.list/worktrees answer from the desktop's own status and
its own worktree.ps fetches, cached per server and fenced by pairing, never from relayed replies.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* refactor(mobile): list server rows through one desktop fetch, with no side effect on listing
The phone now always lists a server's rows through mobileRelay.hosts.worktrees, so the
desktop's own fetch is both the live source and the cache, and stamping stays in main.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): fetch a server's full workspace list within a bound, and forget removed servers
The desktop now asks for the phone's full-catalog limit, answers within 5s with the last rows
when a server hangs, drops a server's rows when it is removed or re-paired, and checks the
server's identity after the fetch so a reply from before a re-pair is never served.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* feat(mobile): name a server workspace's host on the phone's calls
A phone reaches a server's workspace through its desktop only if each call names the host; the
direct, cloud-relay and shell-bridge transports now carry `executionHost`, streams keep it for
replay and unsubscribe, and an older shell (no `executionHost` grant) refuses rather than strips it.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): list managed servers as the desktop sidebar does, and hide rows mid-delete
A server Orca manages on an SSH host now lists once under that host's name, or not at all while
the host is reached over the SSH relay, using the sidebar's own folding. Rows the server is
deleting are left out at reply time, as a phone asking the server itself would see.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): keep a disconnected server's last rows, and never join a re-paired server's fetch
Retirement also fires on a manual disconnect or managed-server update, which wrongly emptied
the phone's list; rows are now pruned only once a server is no longer configured. Fetches are
shared per server identity, so a poll after a re-pair asks the new server right away.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* feat(mobile): list the paired desktop's server workspaces on the phone
Fixes the phone missing a desktop's `orca serve` workspaces: rows come from the desktop's
mobileRelay.hosts.* with each server's health ("Update needed", "Disconnected"), open through the
relay, follow the desktop's hidden hosts, and the desktop now advertises the relay capability.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* test(mobile): pin that a desktop failing the hosts list leaves only its own rows
The page asks a relaying desktop for its servers; a refusal such as method_not_found must leave
today's list with no server rows and no catalog error.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): mirror the desktop's shown hosts exactly, one host included
Jinwoo's call: the phone follows visibleWorkspaceHostIds as the desktop sidebar does, so a
one-host list narrows the phone too instead of being read as a single-host focus.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): scope a server workspace at its route, never the desktop
Every screen under a server workspace's route now reads one context and
gets that server's client and a router that keeps pushes on it, refusing
to fall back to the desktop; pins write to the row's owner like the Mac.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): never open an unreachable server workspace, and prove the relay in e2e
A server workspace the phone can't reach now gets one explicit screen at its route
and no row tap or action-sheet entry opens it; native routes read the route's host,
a census pins every workspace route, and the e2e reads files and git on the server.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* feat(mobile): gate a server workspace on that server's own features
A targeted status.get now relays to the server, so a server workspace's route
provides that server's status to every screen under it and its action sheet,
while whether the phone can reach the server stays the desktop's answer.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(ci): run the remote-runtime WebSocket opener test on Node
Under the bun vitest project, `ws` resolves to Bun's built-in client, which
ignores maxPayload, so the frame-cap test hung. The opener only ships on
Node/Electron, so run its test in the Node runtime project like its siblings.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* feat(push): carry a notification's workspace server to the phone
A desktop relays alerts for agents on its paired servers, but the push named
only the server's worktree, so a tap opened it on the desktop and bounced.
The gateway accepts an optional runtime execution host and forwards it.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* feat(notifications): tell the phone which server runs a notified workspace
A server agent's alert reached the phone with the server's worktree id and no
host, so tapping it opened the desktop's workspace list and bounced. The
producers now name the runtime host, and main carries it into the push.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* feat(mobile): open a notified server workspace on its server
A push that names a runtime host now routes its tap through that server, like
any other server workspace. Absent or non-runtime hosts open as before.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): keep viewing suppression to the viewed workspace's own host
A desktop workspace and a server workspace can share an id, so viewing one
must not silence the other's alerts. Also pins a runtime-stamped tab owner.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* test(mobile): name the push provider payload builder for its role
The anti-slop gate rejects "shape" as a symbol name; the loop variable builds
an APNs or FCM payload, so it is named for that.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): give the file preview the workspace router, back to 128 page assets
The preview was the one workspace screen on the plain router, so the scoped router
was reached by a route set of its own and esbuild split it into an extra chunk
(129 assets); every workspace screen now uses it and it shares the route's chunk.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* refactor(mobile-relay): derive the phone allowlist from the routing table
Adding a phone method now takes one edit (its route). A server-targeted call on a
legacy non-E2EE socket is refused instead of running locally, and only
execution-host methods enter the relay.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* refactor(mobile-relay): drop unread freshness fields from server workspace lists
The phone reads only the rows, so stale, fetchedAt, totalCount and truncated
were dead wire weight. The desktop still serves a server's last rows while
the server is unreachable.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* refactor(mobile): read only the rows of a server's workspace list
The desktop no longer sends a freshness flag, so the phone's schema drops it.
The relay capability list names the delegated-devices constant instead of
repeating its literal, which also retires a now-circular type check.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): show a server workspace as disconnected while its server is down
The phone read the desktop's connection state for a server workspace, so a stopped
server kept a green dot and "Loading tabs" spun forever. The workspace route now
narrows that state by the server's health from mobileRelay.hosts.list, reusing the
existing disconnected session UI and refetching tabs when the server returns.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* refactor(mobile): share one desktop server-list feed between the host list and workspaces
A server workspace polled mobileRelay.hosts.list beside the host list's own read, so
the phone could ask the desktop twice per tick and the row badge and the screen could
disagree. One feed per desktop client now owns that read; both readers join it.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* test(e2e): read a server's reachability from the hosts list, not a dropped stale flag

feat(mobile): verified https pairing links; custom scheme carries no secret (#27475)
* feat(mobile): verified https pairing links; custom scheme carries no secret The desktop's copy-link now emits https://www.onorca.dev/pair#<code>, with the code only in the fragment. Orca Mobile claims that link as a verified app link and refuses any pairing code delivered through orca://, which any app can claim; orca://pair alone opens the scanner with an explanation. In-app QR scan and paste still accept the custom scheme, so older desktops and phones keep pairing. The confirm screen shows the desktop address and host key fingerprint before pairing. config/verified-links/ holds the apple-app-site-association, assetlinks.json and fallback page to deploy on www.onorca.dev, with a test that keeps them, mobile/app.config.js and the link builder in agreement. Part of #17397. Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(mobile): refuse pairing codes nested in or normalized out of unverified links The router unwraps expo-development-client ?url= links and normalizes dot segments after +native-intent runs, so an orca:// wrapper could still deliver a code to the confirm screen. Refuse any unverified link carrying code= at any encoding depth, and match pairing routes on decoded, dot-free segments. Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(mobile): escape the apostrophe in the refused-link notice Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(mobile): decode escapes byte by byte before refusing nested pairing codes An invalid UTF-8 escape made the whole escape run fail to decode, hiding an adjacent encoded &code= that the router still decodes leniently. Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(mobile): decode nested pairing links to any depth before refusing codes Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(mobile): ignore URL-stripped whitespace when refusing nested pairing codes Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> * refactor(mobile): decide pairing-link refusal on the router's own parse Stop re-implementing URL decoding. The guard now runs expo-router's own extractExpoPathFromURL and parseUrlUsingCustomBase, the functions its linking applies after +native-intent, and refuses any link from which the router would read a `code` param or reach a pairing route with a payload. A link the router cannot parse is refused. Release builds refuse expo-development-client wrappers outright. A property-style test walks wrapping depths, encoding layers, stripped control characters, case and unicode, and asserts that the guard never passes on a link from which the router would read a code. Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(mobile): match pairing routes on the top-level segment only A host link with a segment named pair was sent to the scanner. Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> * test(mobile): pin line-terminator fragment links as refused Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> --------- Co-authored-by: m4air <m4air@Mac.localdomain> Co-authored-by: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> |

feat(mobile): tell users when a newer app binary is installable (#23755)
* feat(mobile): tell users when a newer app binary is installable With OTA page updates, store releases get rare and users stop looking. The shell now asks the channel that installed it. Android sideload reads GitHub's mobile-android-v* tag refs and proves the release has an APK. iOS reads the App Store lookup. A home card above Desktops, dismissible per version, and Settings rows surface the result. The check runs on the desktop updater's cadence: cold start, foreground once 24 h have passed, and a 1 h retry after a failure. The releases atom feed was not used because it lists only the 10 newest releases, which are all desktop builds, so it never carries a mobile tag. Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb * refactor(mobile): parse update replies with zod schemas The anti-slop gate refuses Reflect.get on dynamic input. The GitHub refs, the release, the App Store lookup and the stored update record are now parsed into named schemas before they are read. Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb * docs(mobile): say why the Android update source reads tag refs Record why the Android source reads tag refs. The releases atom feed and /releases?per_page=100 are both newest-first windows that desktop releases fill. Either would silently report "current" once a run of desktop builds pushes the newest mobile release out. Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb * refactor(mobile): load update state once and apply review rulings Every check and dismissal now awaits one shared store load. This replaces the merge that guessed whether a check had landed during the load. A manual check that fails while the store loads therefore keeps its 1 h retry instead of re-checking at once. - checking is derived from the in-flight check. - start() uses a per-start flag, so a StrictMode double start applies one load. - A check that finishes after stop() writes nothing. - A corrupt stored update record loses only itself. - Tag refs are parsed with a single schema. - The runtime wiring is folded into one file, and the card moves to home/. - The recorded App Store fixture is oxfmt-formatted, with the same parsed value. Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb * fix(mobile): keep the update timer armed across a stop and restart A check that stayed in flight across stop and restart returned 'failed' without rescheduling. The restart skipped arming because a check was in flight, which left a live checker with no timer until the next foreground. The stop counter is removed. schedule() already arms nothing while no start is active, and saving a real result after a stop is harmless. Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb * chore: retrigger CI after the RPC recording repin (#23757) landed on main Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb * refactor(mobile): trim the update checker and Settings rows - The load sets prefs and the due time only. start() re-arms the schedule after it. - The Settings result hides through one effect keyed on the result. - onUpdate receives the URL. - The version row is bound once. - The retry and timeout constants are no longer exported. - The unused AppUpdateChecker type is deleted. Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb * fix(mobile): run the update check when its timer fires The armed timer is the due time. Re-checking the wall clock when the timer fired meant a clock stepped back skipped the check and re-armed nothing. The due-time guard now applies only on foreground. The binary version still comes from expoConfig.version. SDK 55 removed Constants.nativeAppVersion, so the no-expo-updates invariant is now named in the comment. Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb * fix(mobile): recover from a future check time and use Apple's page URL If the device clock was ahead when a check ran and was corrected later, the stored check time is in the future. Cold starts then armed a timer for the whole skew, and foreground never came due. The stored state now reads as never checked in that case. The iOS link is the lookup's trackViewUrl instead of a URL built from trackId. Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb * style(mobile): fit the future-check-time comment in the print width Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb |

feat: real background push notifications for the mobile app (#8129) (#18554)
* feat(cloud): add the mobile push gateway and its contract package (#8129) A small open-source service that holds the APNs key and FCM credentials and sends background push to paired phones on the desktop's behalf. Hosts authenticate with a box challenge and HMAC proof on their pairing key, the same shape the relay uses, so signed-in and accountless desktops share one path. Tokens are stored; alert text is held only for the coalescing window. The contract doc in docs/reference is the source of truth for every wire shape. The interop test runs the real desktop answerer against a real gateway-issued challenge so transcript drift fails in CI. * feat(push): register phones and send background push from the desktop (#8129) Adds the notifications.remote-push.v1 capability, the registerPush and unregisterPush RPCs on the mobile allowlist, a gateway client with a cached session and 401 re-auth, a durable unregister outbox, and a dispatcher that offers every mobile notification to the gateway after the socket fan-out. The dispatcher is fire-and-forget with one retry and drops registrations the gateway reports dead. Puts agentState on the mobile frame and fixes the #4375 wording so a working agent is never announced as finished. The relay host-proof code moves onto a shared envelope module with no behaviour change. * feat(mobile): background push registration, receive, and settings (#8129) Fetches the native APNs or FCM token, registers it with every paired host that advertises the capability, and re-registers on token change. Foreground pushes are suppressed inside handleNotification against the same seen set the socket path uses, so nothing shows twice. Taps route by host fingerprint. One Background notifications switch, off by default, with the disclaimer and needs-input / finished sub-switches; hidden until a paired desktop is new enough. Adds google-services.json and the expo-notifications plugin. * chore(cloud): Terraform and deploy workflow for the push gateway (#8129) Declares the Cloud Run service, runtime account, secrets, and orca_push database behind push_gateway_enabled, true only in production. The deploy workflow is gated like the relay's, deploys with no traffic, probes /ready and a validate-only FCM send, then shifts traffic. It runs as the shared production deploy account because the Cloud SQL rollout lease grant is foundation-owned; its extra authority is three bindings on the push service. docs/push-gateway.md carries the import commands for the resources created by hand and the APNs key rotation procedure. * docs: describe background notifications on the phone (#8129) * docs: check in the mobile push contract (#8129) Seven committed files cite it as the source of truth for every wire shape; docs/reference is allowlisted per file, so add the entry. * test(push): replay one checked-in host-proof vector on both sides (#8129) Cloud Verify installs only the cloud workspace, so the gateway suite cannot import the desktop answerer. Replace the cross-workspace import with a fixed challenge vector generated from the contract package; the gateway fixture and the desktop answerer each replay it and must produce the same HMAC. A transcript drift on either side now fails in that side's own suite. * fix(cloud): open the push gateway with invoker_iam_disabled, not an allUsers binding (#8129) The production domain-restricted-sharing policy rejects an allUsers run.invoker member, which the runbook anticipated. Opt the service out of invoker IAM the way the relay director already does; the host proof is the authentication either way. * docs(cloud): the push.onorca.dev record exists and is hand-managed (#8129) * fix(push): close review findings in the gateway (#8129) - Quota reservation takes a per-host advisory lock; READ COMMITTED admitted a whole burst past the cap (80/80 without, 60/80 with, against Postgres 16). - Challenge issuance no longer writes push_hosts; the row lands on proof verification. Stale hosts prune after 30 days. Per-IP token bucket on the two unauthenticated routes. - Streaming body limit via hono bodyLimit; a chunked body bypassed the Content-Length check. - registrationIds deduped in the schema; per-host device cap of 64; list bounded to its schema. - Gateway-side challenge TTL is the specified 10 s, not 40 s. - APNs stream settles on close as well as end/error. * fix(push): close review findings in the desktop client (#8129) - A gateway registration the registry cannot persist is enqueued for delete instead of leaking a live token. - Unregister outbox re-reads pending per pass, honours enqueues during a drain, and retries with backoff instead of waiting for the next launch. - Dispatcher batches registrations by 20 rather than starving the rest. - 401 compare-and-clear; a 401 after re-auth is unreachable; refused handshakes and 429s are cached briefly instead of re-handshaking per event. - Service is stopped on quit. * fix(mobile): close review findings in push registration and receive (#8129) - Consent generation guards a register that finishes after the switch went off; the host is re-queued for unregister instead of recorded live. - Foreground pushes seed the watermark before adopting the epoch, so a push on a never-connected session cannot wipe a valid watermark. - aps-environment follows the build via app.config.js; the iOS release workflow sets it to production. A bare plugin entry wrote development. - Pushes the OS showed while closed are marked seen before catch-up replay. - Token null result is not cached; failed capability probes are retried and never block an unregister; coalesced summaries are shown but not marked. - Unresolvable fingerprint routes nowhere and is suppressed in foreground. - Android channel ensured at boot; capability hook diffs clients by identity. * fix(cloud): harden the push deploy workflow and size the gateway to the budget (#8129) - Roll traffic back on a failed post-shift check; delete a candidate that never took traffic; retry the origin probe and the FCM probe. - Assert Terraform-owned scaling instead of mutating it from the workflow. - Build before taking the Cloud SQL rollout lease. - Declare the database pool in Terraform (2 per instance, max 2 instances) and add the gateway to the connection budget; the previous default put the shared instance 65 connections over its ceiling. - State plainly that the shared deploy identity's relay authority is inherited. * fix(push): read the runtime from shared state at push startup (#8129) Threading the runtime through launchDesktopMode put the launch module one line over the 300-line lint budget after the rebase. * fix(push): key the unauthenticated rate limit on the hop Cloud Run wrote (#8129) Cloud Run appends the connecting peer to x-forwarded-for; the limiter read the left-most value, which the caller controls, so a forged first hop earned a fresh bucket per request. * fix(push): close the final security review findings in the gateway and infra (#8129) - app.onError logs only the error name and answers a bare 500; hono's default handler printed the whole error, and a pg error carries the row in detail - a second per-IP bucket (240/min) runs ahead of the bearer lookup on every authenticated route, so forged bearers cannot spend the two-connection pool - one live session per host: minting deletes the host's earlier row - device-less hosts are pruned after 1 h, not 30 d; any keypair mints one free - notificationId is printable ASCII, since it becomes the APNs collapse header - the impersonated FCM probe token is masked in the workflow log - prevent_destroy on the Apple secrets and the orca_push database * fix(push): close the final security review findings in the desktop client (#8129) - fetch never follows a redirect: a 307 would replay the host proof and the phone's token to whatever origin the redirect named - registerPush params are strict and the paired identity is spread last - a per-device bucket (10/min) bounds a phone looping registerPush, which costs a gateway write and a synchronous registry write each time * fix(mobile): close the final security review findings in push receive (#8129) - a push with no epoch can no longer claim a seq-derived dedup key, in the foreground or from the tray; a forged seq:N could otherwise swallow the real bell at that seq - a provider-delivered push with no host catalog, or no fingerprint at all, stays unrouted instead of falling back to the hostId its raw data carries * docs(push): record the ip buckets, session and host retention, and the token-ownership limit (#8129) * fix(push): apply the schema on an untimed pool and retry statement-timeout aborts (#8129) Ports the relay's #18722 pattern to the gateway: DDL runs on a one-connection pool with statement_timeout 0 that is closed before the serving pool opens, and SQLSTATE 57014 joins the bounded transaction retry path. * fix: harden mobile push delivery and deployment recovery * feat: align mobile notification preferences with desktop delivery * fix: accept variable-length APNs device tokens * fix: deduplicate native APNs and background socket notifications |

fix(mobile): relay UX overhaul — steady status colors, visible relay dials, coordinated deep links (F1-F10)
* fix(mobile): keep healthy relays green through focus and network nudges (F1+F2) Focus/app-resume nudges probe the active relay instead of suspending it; network-change nudges replace it make-before-break, suspending only after a failed dial. Mount, Retry, and host-swap windows read 'connecting' instead of 'disconnected'; the host list keeps last-known worktrees for every not-connected state and spins instead of rendering nothing. * feat(mobile): surface the pairing relay path in the pairing log (F3) The relay candidate was silent during pairing: dialing, E2EE handshake, director recovery, and the winning path now emit redacted phase lines through the same connectOptions.onLog the direct path already used. * docs(mobile): relay UX investigation findings and F0-F10 fix plan * feat(mobile): name and narrate relay dials while they happen (F5) migrateTo forwards the dialing session's connecting/handshaking/reconnecting phases whenever the client is suspended or disconnected — never downgrading a live session — and exposes getPendingPath so the host card can say '· Orca Relay' during the dial instead of only after it. * feat(mobile): race a relay dial when the direct dial stalls (F6) A 2.5s grace timer starts relay recovery while an unauthenticated direct dial is still inside its 12s connect window; the race gets one attempt through the existing mutex/cooldown machinery, cancels when direct authenticates, and never arms for hosts without a relay endpoint. * fix(mobile): overlay the protocol gate instead of unmounting the host stack (F9) A pending status.get used to swap the mounted HostStack for a spinner at the moment the socket connected, destroying in-flight nested navigation. Once children have rendered for a host they stay mounted under an opaque touch-blocking overlay; first visits and blocked verdicts keep the old behavior. * fix(mobile): keep loaded data through transient connection blips (F10) Git history no longer blanks on reconnect (and commit files refetch instead of caching an offline empty answer), the repo picker keeps its last-good list when an in-flight repo.list rejects, the diff review's ready-state preservation actually runs, and proven host capabilities survive a drop flagged unverified instead of being wiped. * feat(mobile): coordinate every home deep push and bounce dead resume targets (F4+F7+F8) Notification taps, the Accounts card, and host-edit now use the shared mount-then-replace transition (with a focused-route walker so root-layout scope works); the Resume card renders from the snapshot in a disabled state so its late arrival can't shift Tasks under the thumb; resume targets are validated against proven catalog data, and a session route whose worktree the host proves missing bounces to the host index with a notice banner instead of stranding on a dead screen. * test(mobile): cover the resume-target and notice policies (F7) Key notice dismissal by code so closing one banner cannot swallow a later, different one, and move the visibility rule into host-route-notice.ts where it is testable without a screen. Adds the missing units for F7's decision points: isResumeTargetConfirmedMissing (unproven catalog is silence, synthetic routes exempt), the validating last-visited reader, and the notice visibility rule. * fix(mobile): review-pass hardening for the gate overlay and diff preservation Adversarial review findings: the reader's hunk position now survives a connection blip (reset only on item change), the covered stack is hidden from TalkBack while the gate overlay is up, and the overlay's hit-test comment is scoped honestly to in-tree views (native-Modal drawers present above it — follow-up). * fix(mobile): CI + CodeRabbit review fixes for #12609 Move the findings doc under docs/ (root directory guard), drop two unused eslint-disable directives, and address review findings: an unproven snapshot seed can no longer downgrade a proven worktree catalog; a locally-aborted relay dial skips the director fallback; post-migration bookkeeping failures log instead of masquerading as dial failures (which could suspend the healthy session); the auth wait arms its timeout before subscribing; forwarded dial phases stop at close(); the legacy selector_not_found fallback requires runtime_error; the diff-loading effect depends on the fields it reads; and host-edit auto-cancellation is now pinned by a test. * fix(mobile): second review round — queued replacements, race fence, confirmed bounces A network-change replacement now survives the recovery mutex and cooldowns as a queued intent instead of being dropped or suspending a healthy session — only a failed dial or a dead probe tears one down. The happy-eyeballs migration withdraws when direct authenticated during the relay dial (first-authenticated-wins). A worktree bounce requires two consecutive host-proven misses, since a transient desktop repo-scan rejection answers selector_not_found for a live worktree. Background network flaps no longer wake a billed relay splice, the lifecycle foreground flag stays in sync, a screen unmount cancels only its own pending host-stack transition, and diff review keeps the loaded review when its reconnect refresh rejects. Extracted mobile-endpoint-nudge-router.ts and the establisher's dialEligible pass, and split the supervisor nudge tests, to stay under max-lines. * fix(mobile): satisfy the React Doctor changed-code gate Render-phase ref writes move into effects: the protocol gate's resolved/mounted latches now record committed outcomes only (a discarded children render can no longer count as mounted), and the bounce hook syncs its callback ref in an effect. Array<T> annotations become T[] in the extracted modules. * fix(mobile): keep the loaded diff when the reconnect refetch rejects (F10) The diff-loading hook's catch was the one path still erasing a ready diff — the same keepLoadedDiff guard its disconnect and loading branches already use, now pinned by a reject-after-ready test. * fix(mobile): process foreground revival nudges --------- Co-authored-by: OrcaWin <293788423+OrcaWin@users.noreply.github.com> |

Add unified mobile onboarding for session view and notifications (#9478)
* Add a mobile native-chat opt-in so users pick terminal vs chat once Mirror the notifications one-time opt-in for the native-chat default view. After pairing, a full-screen modal (modeled on notification-opt-in) lets the user choose whether supported agent sessions open in the terminal or in native chat, then persists the choice to the existing orca:defaultSessionView key. - Expose readDefaultSessionViewPreference() (tri-state; absent key = undecided) so the gate can prompt exactly once; loadDefaultSessionView() is unchanged. - shouldPresentSessionViewOptIn() gates the screen; the home focus effect shows it after the notification opt-in. - Settings -> Native chat toggle (already shipped) remains the recovery path. * fix(mobile): preserve onboarding flow after pairing * refine mobile session view opt-in copy * Unify mobile onboarding prompts |

feat(native-chat): add mobile default-view toggle for native chat (#9084)
* feat(native-chat): add mobile default-view toggle for native chat Adds a per-device "Native chat" setting on mobile (Settings → Native chat) that controls whether supported agent sessions open in the native chat view or the raw terminal. Default stays terminal; flipping it on makes eligible sessions render as native chat, mirroring the desktop default-view control. - New orca:defaultSessionView preference (loadDefaultSessionView/save). - Per-tab chat set refactored into a tri-state override map so a session can be pinned to terminal or chat regardless of the default; the legacy array format migrates to chat overrides on load. - useMobileSessionViewMode resolves each tab as override ?? default and reloads the default on focus so a Settings change applies without remount. - Toggle/action-sheet builders take an isTabChatView predicate. * chore(skills): refresh skill bundle manifest for v1.4.144-rc.2 The v1.4.144-rc.2 release bump left resources/skills/current-manifest.json pointing at rc.1, so verify:skill-bundle-manifest fails on any branch that reaches it. Regenerated (appVersion only; no skill content changed) to unblock CI. Unrelated to the native-chat toggle in this PR. * fix(native-chat): harden mobile view preferences * fix(native-chat): harden default view persistence * fix(native-chat): serialize mobile view persistence * fix(native-chat): reconcile failed mobile view saves * fix(native-chat): fail closed on unreadable view overrides * fix(native-chat): honor fail-closed view races |

mobile: per-host connection log screen with copy-diagnostics (#7984)
The rpc-client has always emitted a detailed connection lifecycle log (dials, timeouts, close codes, handshake steps, retries) via onLog, but only the pairing screen wired it up — for long-lived host connections everything went to console.log, invisible to users. Debugging reports like #7824/#6928 meant asking reporters for facts the app already knew. - connection-log-buffer: bounded (200/host) module-level ring buffer with referentially-stable snapshots for useSyncExternalStore; survives client swaps and provider remounts. - client-context: wire onLog for every shared host client. - connection-log screen: live per-host log (reuses the pairing ConnectionLog component), host picker, and a Copy Diagnostics button that bundles app/platform versions, endpoint (flagged if Tailscale), state, attempt count, last-connected, and the event log into one shareable blob. - troubleshoot: 'View connection log' entry point. perf(mobile): cap the scheduled-notification map + tap-dedup set (#7646)
scheduledNotificationsByHostAndNotificationId (mobile-notifications.ts) retained one entry per scheduled desktop notification. The key embeds notificationId, which carries a per-completion timestamp (buildAgentNotificationId), so every agent-task-complete inserts a new, never-reused key. Entries are removed only when the desktop sends a matching dismiss — which a remote mobile user (not sitting at the desktop) frequently never receives — so the module-level map grew for the app's whole lifetime. Small per entry, but genuinely unbounded. Fix: bound the map to the 256 most-recent SETTLED entries (never evict one mid-schedule). A settled entry only retains a small identifier used for later programmatic dismissal, which is unnecessary for long-past completions, so eviction has no user-visible effect. Also FIFO-cap RootLayout's handledNotificationIdsRef tap-dedup Set (RootLayout never unmounts, so it otherwise grew one id per tapped notification forever). Test (red->green): with the cap at 1, scheduling a second notification evicts the first, so a later dismiss for the evicted id is a no-op while the retained one still dismisses; without the cap the old entry survives. |

fix(mobile): respect Android device rotation lock instead of forcing rotation (#5403)
* release: v1.4.48-rc.0 [rc-slot:2026-06-05-15] * release: v0.0.1-rc.0 [rc-slot:2026-06-06-03] * fix(mobile): respect Android device rotation lock instead of forcing rotation The app rotated on Android even when the system auto-rotate lock was on. Expo's top-level `orientation: "default"` emits `android:screenOrientation="unspecified"`, which auto-rotates on many devices regardless of the lock, and the `react-native-screens` `orientation: 'all'` screenOption mapped to FULL_SENSOR, which forces rotation outright. react-native-screens exposes no orientation value that honors the rotation lock (even 'default' calls setRequestedOrientation(UNSPECIFIED) at runtime, overriding the manifest). The Android value that respects the lock is "fullUser", which must come from the manifest. So: - Add an `android-respect-rotation-lock` Expo config plugin that sets the main activity to `android:screenOrientation="fullUser"` (honors the lock; allows all orientations when unlocked, matching iOS). - Remove the runtime `orientation` screenOption so the manifest value governs. iOS behavior is unchanged (UISupportedInterfaceOrientations still lists all four).
