feat(cli): open files at a requested line and column (#28240)
Accept positive safe-integer line and column flags through the existing file-open path. Reject invalid or incomplete positions before changing the editor. Bind deferred reveals to the requested workspace and tab, including floating panels, and clamp oversized positions without moving another editor or stealing late focus. Fix CLI delivery and fresh launch environments for managed SSH agents (#26464)
* fix: refresh host environments before structured agent command resolution * fix: ship the owning server CLI for managed remote agents * test: include the shipped CLI in remote install fixtures * Bind packaged agent CLI calls to their execution host * Keep owning-server CLI binding scoped to managed agents * Serve the last shell environment to chat starts and refresh it in the background Only the first chat start waits for the login shell; later starts get the last snapshot and refresh it in the background once it is 10 s old. On Windows hosts without the registry addon (managed server slots), the saved PATH is reread with reg.exe. The Windows server CLI launcher stager now checks the target architecture, and the CLI help says ambient selectors are ignored inside a managed server. * Keep the last good shell environment when a refresh fails, and load the Windows profile once A login-shell capture now says whether the shell produced the env or Orca fell back to its own, and only a real capture replaces the snapshot. Windows loads the PowerShell profile once per process and refreshes only the saved PATH. The reg.exe fallback queries the whole key so a missing user Path no longer drops the saved PATH. The first capture starts when the resolvers are created. * Keep the last good login-shell env for other readers while a forced refresh runs * Mark the Claude launch resolver as a reviewed router-aware module It only types the chat command resolver it injects; main's launch-routing guard (#26801) matched the name. * Keep a settled login-shell env for readers during a refresh and share the first run - Any settled cached entry, a fallback included, now serves other readers while a forced capture runs; only a real capture replaces it. - Native chat's first capture shares a run a startup reader already began, so the login shell runs once per process at startup on macOS/Linux. - Type the injected Claude resolver without naming resolveClaudeCommand. - Cover the runtime's Claude command options, the owning-host --host check, and the PTY flag drop. * Drop an inherited owning-host flag from daemon terminal panes The persistent terminal daemon merges its own environment into every pane, so an inherited ORCA_CLI_OWNING_HOST reached desktop panes even though main strips it from the spawn env. Drop it with the other per-launch CLI variables. * Route agents to their own server through ordinary launch defaults; start the first chat after an install The native-chat agent environment now sets the owning server's ORCA_USER_DATA_PATH and empty ORCA_ENVIRONMENT / ORCA_PAIRING_CODE / ORCA_REMOTE_PAIRING, which the CLI already reads as unset; empty rather than deleted, because the spawn merges the launch overlay over the server's own env. The ORCA_CLI_OWNING_HOST flag, the CLI's skip of ambient selectors, the launchers' export of it, the terminal clean-up, the help-text exception and the WSL launcher guard are gone, so a person's terminal follows their own settings as on main. A launch that finds no program in the shell snapshot waits for one shared refresh (at most one shell timeout) and resolves again; create support rereads the shell once before refusing. On Windows a failed PowerShell profile load is retried on the next refresh instead of being kept until restart. * One shared shell reread when an agent's program is missing The pre-create check for OpenCode, OMP and Pi forced its own login-shell capture on every refusal: not shared with launches, one per concurrent check, triggered by an installed-but-too-old version too, and an older capture finishing last could overwrite a newer cached environment. On Windows, every launch miss also reran a failed PowerShell profile load, bypassing the 10-second limit. - One saved shell environment per host: chat launches, their misses, the pre-create check and AI commit messages read it and share one refresh. - The pre-create check resolves the agent's program the way a launch does, so only a missing program waits for the refresh; registrations declare how to resolve their launch and check its version. - A forced login-shell capture joins one already running for the same shell, so captures cannot land out of order. - On Windows, a miss within 10 s of a failed PowerShell load rereads only the saved PATH. * One owner for the cached shell environment Review found two more races in the reread-on-miss machinery, both from the host wrapper keeping its own snapshot beside the login-shell cache: - A launch that found no program could join a reread that started before the agent was installed, and spend its one retry on the old PATH. - On Windows, saved-PATH rereads renewed the snapshot's age, so a failed PowerShell profile was never retried while launches kept missing. The login-shell cache is now the only owner of the captured environment, the run in progress and which result wins (the newest run started; a fallback never replaces a captured env). It takes three options instead of `force`: - startedAfter: a lookup that found nothing waits for a run that started no earlier than the lookup did, joining one if it has, else starting one. - refreshAfterMs: serve the last result and rerun in the background once the last attempt is older. - keepCaptured: a captured env is kept for good; only a fallback is rerun (Windows' PowerShell profile). The host wrapper keeps only policy: the 10 s interval, on Windows the saved PATH laid over the profile env on every read (a miss forces a fresh registry read), and the settings overlays. Its snapshot, pending promise, staleness and Windows "loaded" bookkeeping are gone. A lookup's start time travels with the miss (resolveAgainAfterRefreshOnMissingProgram passes it). * Read an injected shell environment once per runtime, as main does The previous commit read an injected environment on every acquisition, which broke main's 'caches shell exports but re-reads configured overrides for a resume' contract. It is read once when the resolvers are made again. * Model lists reread the environment on a missing program, as launches do Live QA: the first new chat after installing Claude showed "Claude wasn't found on the computer running this chat". The chat launch itself reread the login shell and started the new binary, but Claude's model-list check ran first, with the environment read before the install, and never retried: catalog probes were deliberately built without the miss refresh. The retry now lives in each agent's one shared lookup of its binary and environment, which a launch and a model listing both call: resolveCodexStructuredInvocation, resolveAcpLaunchInvocation, a new shared resolvePiRpcInvocation, and resolveClaudeChildEnvSources (which already had it). Each catalog probe is given the runtime's refreshAfterMissingProgram, and the catalog context no longer strips it, so a listing and a launch reread the same single-owner environment the same way. * Pass optional launch lookups through directly instead of conditional spreads * Read the host shell env through resolveLoginShellEnvironment; drop the extra wait cap CI on the merge with main failed main's new codex-workspace-relative-path test (#26684), which mocks the login-shell module with only resolveLoginShellEnvironment: the wrapper called captureLoginShellEnvironment and imported the spawn-timeout constant. The wrapper only needs the env, so it reads through resolveLoginShellEnvironment again, as on main. The miss wait no longer races its own 5 s timer: the shell run it waits for is already killed at the spawn timeout, so the second cap was a guard over the same bound. The constant goes back to private, as on main. * Test that a hung login shell holds a launch miss for at most one shell timeout The bound lives in the one owner: the shell run is killed at the spawn timeout (5 s) and settles to a fallback, which never replaces a captured snapshot. A mutation raising that timeout fails this test. * A program found through a relative PATH entry is not missing Main's #26684 runs Codex through a workspace-relative PATH entry (`bin`, `node_modules/.bin`). The lookup searches such an entry against Orca's own directory and returns the bare name; the spawn then finds the program in the chat's directory. Counting that bare name as missing made every such launch wait for a login-shell reread. The retry now fires only when the lookup truly found nothing: a bare name back from a PATH whose entries are all absolute. Each agent's one lookup tells it which PATH it searched. * Count a relative PATH entry as found only when it holds the program; Windows miss waits for a saved PATH read started after it looked A bare name with a relative PATH entry is checked from the launch's working directory, so an agent in neither entry still gets its one reread. On Windows the miss no longer joins a registry read that began before the lookup. |

feat(mobile): show and use the desktop's server workspaces on the phone (#26501)
* test(e2e): add a paired phone client helper and phone-mirror baseline specs
Later phone-mirror slices need one oracle that drives a real mobile-scoped device with the
phone's own capabilities against a serve host or a paired desktop. Pins #26022 across a serve
restart and today's gap: a desktop's phone does not list the desktop's server workspaces.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* feat(mobile): show SSH host health on the workspace row host badge
Rows on an SSH host the desktop cannot reach looked healthy on the phone. The badge now
adds the desktop sidebar's own word ("devbox · Disconnected"), derived by the same shared
function from the connection status ssh.listTargetSummaries already sends; old desktops keep today's badge.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* test(e2e): compose the phone-mirror topology and check the cold snapshot
Slices need one composer for host, desktop and phone with a single teardown, so specs stop
copying setup. The serve-restart spec now reads the first tab-stream snapshot after the cold
start, which is what the phone builds its tab strip from.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* feat(mobile): name an unhealthy SSH host even in a single-host list
The desktop card shows SSH status on any host count, so the phone now reads target summaries
whenever a repo is on SSH and badges an unhealthy host alone too. Labels and health share one
target-to-host keying, and a hook-level test pins the reply-to-row wiring.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* test(e2e): keep phone-mirror teardown errors from masking test failures
Teardown failures become a test attachment instead of replacing the real failure, and the
cold-snapshot poll reports stream errors together with the PTY list.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): clear stale SSH host badges and announce them without the dot
A catalog that no longer spans hosts or holds an SSH repo now clears the health and label maps,
so a host that left cannot keep badging rows. The badge gets a screen-reader label ("devbox,
Disconnected") instead of reading the middle dot.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* feat(runtime): let a paired desktop register its phones as delegated mobile devices
A desktop paired to this runtime can now call pairing.delegatedMobileDevice.sync to make each of
its phones an ordinary mobile-scope device it owns, so the phone mirrors that host through the
desktop. Children are never pending, inherit the parent's reach, and die with the parent's grant.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* refactor(runtime): move the mobile device revoke primitive below dispatch
Dispatch binds the caller-bound delegated-device context, so the revoke path it needs now lives in
a layer under it as a pure move; this drops the abstract method seam. No behaviour change.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(runtime): keep a runtime grant until its delegated phones are revoked
A failed child cleanup now leaves the parent in place so a retry can still find the children, and
revokeRuntimeAccess lives beside the revoke it cascades to. Adds restart, rename and bounds coverage,
shares credential minting, and drops the timing-dependent census.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(runtime): fail a delegated sync whose dropped phone cannot be revoked
Matches the parent revoke: a child whose cleanup could not be saved is kept and the sync errors
before minting anything, so the desktop retries instead of believing the server matches its list.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* feat(mobile): relay a paired phone's server-workspace requests through the desktop
A phone mirrors its desktop, including workspaces on the desktop's configured servers. The desktop
now forwards a request that names `executionHost: runtime:<env>` to that server over one socket per
(phone, server), signed in as the phone's delegated device; replies pass through untouched except
stream ids. Hidden until the phone client ships: the relay capability is not advertised yet.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* test(mobile): type the single-host health fixtures inline so the test tsc passes
Fixtures hoisted into consts widened their health maps to string, which the now-required
hostHealthById rejects under the tests-typecheck ratchet; passing them inline keeps the union.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* docs(mobile): state the desktop relay contract in its entry module
main dropped docs/reference, so the relay's contract lives beside the code. Also pins that a
server whose delegated sync fails (e.g. delegated_device_revoke_failed) is unavailable until a
later request syncs it again.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* test(mobile): pin the relay's configured-server adapter
The production hosts adapter was only typechecked; this pins that it resolves configured servers
by exact id only (never a name or a removed server), fences by pairing revision and runtime
identity, and stops reporting retirements once unsubscribed.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* test(mobile): re-record the repo-metadata goldens for SSH host health
The settled metadata state now carries hostHealthById, and an SSH-only catalog now reads the
target summaries so a lone unhealthy host can be badged. Scoped re-record via rpc-recording.mts.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* refactor(mobile): tighten the desktop relay after elegance review
Reuses the shared E2EE socket opener, folds relay state into fewer fields, never sends a request
whose link ended while opening, passes failure codes through, relays only this desktop's own
phones, and drops the unused host-state reader until S2 needs one.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): bound relay frames and stop sticky relay verdicts
Restores the 8 MiB frame cap on every remote runtime socket, re-checks an update-needed server on
each new link so an in-place upgrade relays, answers a phone the server just declined without
syncing again, and ends a link whose mirrored capability update cannot be queued.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): run targeted desktop-owned calls on the desktop
The phone tags every call on a workspace screen with its execution host, so a
paired-desktop method carrying `runtime:<env>` now runs locally instead of
failing 'forbidden'. The Mac stays the only reader of the routing table.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* feat(mobile): list the desktop's configured servers and their last workspace rows for the phone
The phone needs the same host list the desktop shows, including servers that are offline or
too old to relay to. mobileRelay.hosts.list/worktrees answer from the desktop's own status and
its own worktree.ps fetches, cached per server and fenced by pairing, never from relayed replies.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* refactor(mobile): list server rows through one desktop fetch, with no side effect on listing
The phone now always lists a server's rows through mobileRelay.hosts.worktrees, so the
desktop's own fetch is both the live source and the cache, and stamping stays in main.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): fetch a server's full workspace list within a bound, and forget removed servers
The desktop now asks for the phone's full-catalog limit, answers within 5s with the last rows
when a server hangs, drops a server's rows when it is removed or re-paired, and checks the
server's identity after the fetch so a reply from before a re-pair is never served.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* feat(mobile): name a server workspace's host on the phone's calls
A phone reaches a server's workspace through its desktop only if each call names the host; the
direct, cloud-relay and shell-bridge transports now carry `executionHost`, streams keep it for
replay and unsubscribe, and an older shell (no `executionHost` grant) refuses rather than strips it.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): list managed servers as the desktop sidebar does, and hide rows mid-delete
A server Orca manages on an SSH host now lists once under that host's name, or not at all while
the host is reached over the SSH relay, using the sidebar's own folding. Rows the server is
deleting are left out at reply time, as a phone asking the server itself would see.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): keep a disconnected server's last rows, and never join a re-paired server's fetch
Retirement also fires on a manual disconnect or managed-server update, which wrongly emptied
the phone's list; rows are now pruned only once a server is no longer configured. Fetches are
shared per server identity, so a poll after a re-pair asks the new server right away.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* feat(mobile): list the paired desktop's server workspaces on the phone
Fixes the phone missing a desktop's `orca serve` workspaces: rows come from the desktop's
mobileRelay.hosts.* with each server's health ("Update needed", "Disconnected"), open through the
relay, follow the desktop's hidden hosts, and the desktop now advertises the relay capability.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* test(mobile): pin that a desktop failing the hosts list leaves only its own rows
The page asks a relaying desktop for its servers; a refusal such as method_not_found must leave
today's list with no server rows and no catalog error.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): mirror the desktop's shown hosts exactly, one host included
Jinwoo's call: the phone follows visibleWorkspaceHostIds as the desktop sidebar does, so a
one-host list narrows the phone too instead of being read as a single-host focus.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): scope a server workspace at its route, never the desktop
Every screen under a server workspace's route now reads one context and
gets that server's client and a router that keeps pushes on it, refusing
to fall back to the desktop; pins write to the row's owner like the Mac.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): never open an unreachable server workspace, and prove the relay in e2e
A server workspace the phone can't reach now gets one explicit screen at its route
and no row tap or action-sheet entry opens it; native routes read the route's host,
a census pins every workspace route, and the e2e reads files and git on the server.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* feat(mobile): gate a server workspace on that server's own features
A targeted status.get now relays to the server, so a server workspace's route
provides that server's status to every screen under it and its action sheet,
while whether the phone can reach the server stays the desktop's answer.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(ci): run the remote-runtime WebSocket opener test on Node
Under the bun vitest project, `ws` resolves to Bun's built-in client, which
ignores maxPayload, so the frame-cap test hung. The opener only ships on
Node/Electron, so run its test in the Node runtime project like its siblings.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): give the file preview the workspace router, back to 128 page assets
The preview was the one workspace screen on the plain router, so the scoped router
was reached by a route set of its own and esbuild split it into an extra chunk
(129 assets); every workspace screen now uses it and it shares the route's chunk.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* refactor(mobile-relay): derive the phone allowlist from the routing table
Adding a phone method now takes one edit (its route). A server-targeted call on a
legacy non-E2EE socket is refused instead of running locally, and only
execution-host methods enter the relay.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* refactor(mobile-relay): drop unread freshness fields from server workspace lists
The phone reads only the rows, so stale, fetchedAt, totalCount and truncated
were dead wire weight. The desktop still serves a server's last rows while
the server is unreachable.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* refactor(mobile): read only the rows of a server's workspace list
The desktop no longer sends a freshness flag, so the phone's schema drops it.
The relay capability list names the delegated-devices constant instead of
repeating its literal, which also retires a now-circular type check.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* fix(mobile): show a server workspace as disconnected while its server is down
The phone read the desktop's connection state for a server workspace, so a stopped
server kept a green dot and "Loading tabs" spun forever. The workspace route now
narrows that state by the server's health from mobileRelay.hosts.list, reusing the
existing disconnected session UI and refetching tabs when the server returns.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* refactor(mobile): share one desktop server-list feed between the host list and workspaces
A server workspace polled mobileRelay.hosts.list beside the host list's own read, so
the phone could ask the desktop twice per tick and the row badge and the screen could
disagree. One feed per desktop client now owns that read; both readers join it.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01JNnE9qzUZMMnqpZWCqM3nb
* test(e2e): read a server's reachability from the hosts list, not a dropped stale flag

fix(orchestration): stop retried failed worker starts from piling up live agents (#27795)
* fix(orchestration): stop retried failed worker starts from piling up live agents A failed worker-start keeps the terminal it created (a pane the user typed into is theirs), so a coordinator retrying a start that can never succeed left one more live agent behind on every retry, with nothing to stop it. - A --retry-of start now releases the failed attempt's still-owned terminal through the normal worker-release path (output archived, user takeover kept, recovery finishes it after a restart). - A failed start now counts toward the Task's existing three-failure circuit breaker, carried across retries; a retry of a circuit-broken Dispatch is refused with a plain error. Linear: STA-7113 * test(orchestration): type the failed-start retry fixtures without casts * fix(orchestration): carry failed-start count only along --retry-of; plain breaker refusal - Only a --retry-of start inherits its predecessor's failure count, so worker exits across separate starts keep the old behaviour. - The circuit-broken refusal carries failureCount and next steps that say to stop retrying, read the last attempt, and that its pane stays open. - A repeated failed report on a circuit-broken Dispatch is a duplicate. Linear: STA-7113 * fix(orchestration): breaker refusal only points at a terminal that is still open Linear: STA-7113 * fix(orchestration): log a retry's release that could not prove the old terminal closed Linear: STA-7113 * Preserve worker diagnostics before terminal release and mask wrapped tokens |

fix(terminal): a slow window no longer makes orca terminal create fail and then duplicate (#28158)
* fix(terminal): start CLI-created workspace terminals in main so a slow window cannot duplicate them A focused or interactive-agent `orca terminal create` asked the window to make the terminal and reported failure after 10 s, while the window still made it later; a retry then made a second one. Main now starts every terminal that names a workspace and shows it in the window best-effort, as it already did for every other create. * fix(terminal): start a main-created terminal at its worktree's measured pane size An unfocused CLI agent opens as an inactive tab that is not resized until the user opens it, so starting it at 120x40 left its output wrapped to 120 columns. Start it at the size of the pane active in the worktree's active group, where the new tab opens; fall back to 120x40 only when that worktree has no measured pane. * fix(cli): keep sending rendererBacked for hosts before v1.4.211 Hosts without #22384 leave a background-started agent's startup queries unanswered, so a new CLI talking to an old, still-running host must keep routing interactive agents to the window. Newer hosts ignore the flag. * fix(terminal): start host-created terminals at the measured size of their tab group The window publishes, on its graph sync to main only, the grid an unsplit terminal would get in each shown tab group, computed by one pure function that mirrors FitAddon.proposeDimensions and is pinned against it; a ResizeObserver on each group body republishes when that grid changes. Main starts a new terminal at the size of the group it opens in (the named group, else the active one) and falls back to 120x40 only when no window measured it. This replaces the active-pane lookup, which mis-sized split groups and could read a phone's fitted size. * fix(terminal): measure group sizes from an untitled default-font pane and use the live active group A pane with a title or banner pushes its xterm host down, which skewed every group's row count; skip it like a zoomed pane. Size from the window's latest published active group, which is where its reveal places the tab, before the saved session's. * fix(terminal): size a CLI agent in a workspace the window has not shown Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(terminal): learn the single-group inset only from bodies shown in the content area Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> * chore: rerun PR checks against main with #28297 Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> * chore: rerun PR checks against main with #28301 Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> --------- Co-authored-by: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> |

fix(terminal-daemon): status says live, exited or unverifiable, and shows the process ceiling (#28239)
* fix(terminal-daemon): status reports live, exited or unverifiable, and the process ceiling `orca terminal-daemon status` printed 'Terminal daemon: OK.' whenever no severed daemon was recorded, including the ~60 s after a kill -9 before the next terminal respawned it. The host now probes the daemon (health check, then its pid record with Linux start-time identity) and returns an additive `daemon` report; the CLI prints the verdict and, for a live daemon, the terminal process ceiling, which no CLI command showed under Electron serve. Fixes BUG-5 and BUG-7 from the real-host Linux test run. * fix(terminal-daemon): load the ceiling description from shared so the packaged CLI can resolve it The packaged CLI cannot load out/main/daemon modules: electron-vite replaces out/main after the CLI build. The ceiling state and its description move to src/shared, which the CLI already ships. * fix(terminal-daemon): a pid the signal proved live is never exited because procfs hides it * fix(terminal-daemon): load the liveness probe lazily so the RPC table stays light Importing the probe eagerly pulled the daemon provider graph into every module that loads the runtime RPC method table, which broke the cross-version terminal wire harness. --------- Co-authored-by: m4air <m4air@Mac.localdomain> |

fix(linux): a supervised AppImage serve follows a replaced AppImage (#28244)
* fix(linux): a supervised AppImage serve restarts from a replaced AppImage Swapping the AppImage file never reached a supervised serve: it runs the copy it unpacked, and even a full service restart went back through the stable launcher to that same copy. The extraction cache now records which AppImage each namespace came from. Before each start the supervisor compares that file's identity with the build it runs; once a settled new file is there and runs on this host, it execs the new AppImage with its own arguments (same pid), whose serve unpacks the new build and re-points the stable launcher. Fixes BUG-4 from the real-host Linux test run. * fix(linux): try a replaced AppImage once, and let it past an old build's give-up - A give-up recorded against the old build no longer stops the supervisor before it checks for a replaced AppImage. - The supervisor records the AppImage identity it is about to exec in the profile. If that build dies before its own crash brake, later starts of the old build keep running it instead of exec'ing the same broken file until systemd's start limit disables the service. A supervisor running that build, a further replacement, or --force clears the record. * test(cli): compare the namespace listing order-independently --------- Co-authored-by: m4air <m4air@Mac.localdomain> |

fix(linux): a supervised serve run from the AppImage stays in place instead of re-exec'ing (#28270)
Since a direct `Orca.AppImage serve --supervise` now runs the CLI supervisor (#28227), the supervisor's relocation re-exec ran from the AppImage mount. An exec from node mode closes every inherited descriptor, including the AppImage runtime's keepalive pipe, so the runtime unmounted the AppImage during the exec and the new image failed with 'libffmpeg.so: cannot open shared object file' (exit 127) on every start. Relocation exists so an update cannot swap the app under a running supervisor; an AppImage's mount cannot change during the run, so it stays in place. Co-authored-by: m4air <m4air@Mac.localdomain> |

fix(linux): direct AppImage serve honours the chosen profile and --supervise (#28227)
* fix(linux): run a direct AppImage serve through the CLI so it keeps its profile and supervisor A direct `Orca.AppImage serve` stayed in the Electron process and skipped the CLI's serve front end, so it ignored ORCA_USER_DATA_PATH and silently dropped --supervise. It now execs into the bundled CLI (same pid, so service managers and signals still reach it), translating a leading --user-data-dir into ORCA_USER_DATA_PATH. Also lists terminal-daemon and reference as CLI commands so a direct binary launch of them reaches the CLI. Fixes BUG-1, BUG-3 and BUG-10 from the real-host Linux test run. * fix(linux): drop desktop switches anywhere in a direct serve launch * fix(linux): keep a direct serve's --no-sandbox for the Electron server the CLI starts --------- Co-authored-by: m4air <m4air@Mac.localdomain> |

fix(serve): say what headless serve actually needs, and stop repeating the supervisor's restart line (#28230)
- A headless serve with no X display told the user to run `orca-ide serve`, which they just ran. Serve now gets its own message: it needs an X display, Wayland alone is not enough, and which X virtual framebuffer package to install (now including Arch's xorg-server-xvfb). - The supervisor's restart line read 'Orca serve Orca serve exited via SIGKILL.; restarting'. - The supervisor and 'serve service status' gave different advice after giving up; both now give the same, correct advice. fix(daemon): stop giving new terminals to a daemon whose AppImage files are gone (#28011)
* fix(daemon): stop giving new terminals to a daemon whose AppImage files are gone On Linux AppImage, a terminal daemon can outlive the mount it runs from and keep answering health checks until it SIGBUSes. Orca now reads the daemon's /proc exe link and mount table at adoption: an idle severed daemon is replaced; a busy one is kept for its sessions but quarantined, so fresh terminals use the local provider and a healthy RPC never re-admits them. Status and a verified restart are available over RPC and as `orca terminal-daemon status|restart`. Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(daemon): lift the severed quarantine once a new daemon owns the endpoint Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(daemon): a severed-daemon restart counts fallback terminals and never stops a replacement The restart re-checks the authenticated endpoint owner before any teardown and again at shutdown, and never falls back to a pid kill when targeted. fix(skills): judge official skill updates by ownership, not snapshot matching (#27603)
* fix(skills): judge official skill updates by ownership, not snapshot matching Orca decided whether an installed official skill was pristine by matching its bytes against a shipped list of past snapshots, falling back to the skills CLI's lock hash. Copies installed between releases, CRLF copies, and installs whose lock recorded a sha256 hash all read "doesn't match the official version" and could not be updated (#26841), and older content could be labelled newer and never offered. Now an official skill is Orca's when the skills.sh global lock says it came from stablyai/orca, and it is current only when its listed files equal the bundled manifest (line endings and sidecars ignored); anything else is outdated. Install and update are one pinned `skills add .../tree/v<appVersion>` command, used by the in-app runner, `orca skills update`, and the Settings rails. The update dialog preselects Orca-owned rows and lists same-named skills from elsewhere unchecked. Removes the snapshot registry, release mapping, git-tree identity, lock trust and convergence logic, and the release-cut provenance step. * ci(skills): run the pinned-add round trip on a skills CLI that can fetch a commit * fix(skills): let orca skills update target the shared folder on a bare host Update became the same pinned add as install, so it inherited install's refusal when no agent is detected. That broke the bare-host update the old command guaranteed, and the built-CLI check (update --dry-run, no --agent) on CI runners. The in-app runner already fell back to universal; both now share one detectSkillsCliUpdateAgentKeys rule. Also brings the CLI skills docs off `npx skills update`. * refactor(skills): derive the update selection from the grouped rows The selection hook took the live and the retained inventory, re-derived Orca ownership from installations beside the grouping's own orcaOwned, and kept a separate display count. Groups already carry both eligibility and ownership, so the hook reads them once; the button's existing live-scan gate is the only authorization check. The unselected line is inlined into the headline. * refactor(skills): drop helpers the ownership design made redundant - isOwnerManagedSkillScope only negated into the participation check once plugin caches stopped participating; fold it in. - Eligibility re-checked resolvedPath/physicalIdentity, which observation already turns into 'inaccessible'. - The manifest verifier probed access() before a readFile that throws anyway. - orchestration-install-command.ts only forwarded one constant from the lib module its three importers already import. * i18n(skills): stop naming npx skills update in four skipped-copy strings The es/ja/ko/zh cantUpdateReason and tipDuplicate strings still named `npx skills update`, which Orca no longer runs for its skills. Say 'the update command' instead. * refactor(skills): inline the single-use pinned source URL helper orcaSkillsSourceUrl was exported but only called by the builder beside it. * fix(skills): let an update choice lapse when the install source changes The selection froze every checked name, Orca's preselection included, the moment the user ticked anything. A re-check that then attributed a name to another source kept it checked, replacing it without consent. Store only the user's explicit choices, keyed by name and lock source, and default to ownership otherwise. * fix(skills): label the empty update action 'Update skills', not 'Update 0 skills' The button stays whenever a row is updatable, so unticking every row (or a dialog with only non-Orca copies outdated) doesn't reflow the footer. At zero selected it stays disabled and reads 'Update skills' instead of a zero count. The label lives beside the dialog's other count copy. * fix(skills): let keyboard focus open the Not from Orca tooltip The source of a non-Orca copy is only in the tooltip, and its trigger was a plain span. Make it focusable like Orca's other tooltip-on-text triggers (tabIndex 0, cursor-help, the row primitive's focus ring), as in the agreed mock. * test(skills): hold the round-trip add equal to the shared install builder The CI round trip hardcoded its skills add argv, so it could drift from what Orca runs. A .mjs script can't import the TS builder (extensionless imports), so the argv moves into an exported roundTripAddArgs and a unit test asserts it is the builder's unattended add with the tag swapped for the PR commit. The script runs under the same main guard as the manifest generator. * i18n(skills): translate the skill row's location count and duplicate reason es, ko and zh still carried English for SkillUpdateRow.oneLocation and manyLocations, and es and ko for SkillFreshnessRow.skippedReasonDuplicate. * fix(skills): pin official skill installs to the build commit and skills CLI `skills add .../tree/v<version>` only works for stable and RC builds: hourly, daily and adhoc builds publish elsewhere, so stablyai/orca has no tag for their version and both install and update failed there. Every build is made from a commit that exists in stablyai/orca, so the build now stamps `git rev-parse HEAD` and the one shared builder pins to `tree/<commit>`, which equals the bundled skills by construction. Main, renderer, web and vitest get it as ORCA_BUILD_COMMIT (replacing ORCA_APP_VERSION); the tsc-built CLI reads it from the compiled out/package.json boundary. A missing or malformed commit fails the build or the command with a clear error instead of building a bad URL. The builder also pins the skills CLI (`npx skills@1.7.2`): 1.5.x cannot fetch a commit, and a bare `npx skills` can reuse a stale cache or resolve to another binary (#18687). The CI round-trip script reuses the same constant. * ci(skills): run the round trip on the shared pinned skills CLI version * docs(skills): document the commit-pinned skills add * refactor(skills): keep the pinned skills CLI version in the install builder skills-cli-version.ts existed only so the plain-Node round-trip script could strip-load a .ts file, which needed --disable-warning in CI. The version now lives beside the builder that uses it; the script keeps a literal, and the existing round-trip test already asserts its argv, skills@<version> included, equals the builder's. * refactor(skills): validate the build commit once, where it is resolved resolveBuildSourceCommit already refuses anything but a full hash, and both the define and the CLI's stamped package.json come from it. The builder's second check could only fire as a module-load throw in the renderer's command constants. Also drops the resolver's unused cwd parameter. * test: stamp a fixed build commit instead of running git in the vitest config Tests only interpolate ORCA_BUILD_COMMIT, so they need not read HEAD (or fail outside a git checkout) on every run. * refactor(settings): match only skills add in the Windows npx preflight Every official skill command is now the builder's skills@<version> add; no rail emits skills update any more. * fix(skills): fail an update that leaves a broken skill link behind Eligibility already skips names with a broken link before the run, so one afterwards is the run's own damage; report it instead of claiming success. * ci(release): refuse to tag when the skill manifest is stale The removed --release step implicitly checked the committed manifest against skills/. Keep that guarantee with a verify-only run; it writes nothing. --------- Co-authored-by: Orca Worker <orca-worker@localhost> |

refactor(remote): clients connect through a paired-connection handle, not a pairing offer (#27533)
Desktop, CLI, web and runtime transports now take a PairedRuntimeConnection (endpoint, pinned host key, credential) instead of a PairingOffer. Offers stay on the pairing input path (codes, QR, links, environment add) and are converted with pairedRuntimeConnectionFromOffer. The credential is token-only today; request envelopes still carry the same deviceToken, so the wire is unchanged. This lets device-key and ticket credentials replace the token later without touching every connect call site again. Co-authored-by: m4air <m4air@Mac.localdomain> |

feat(serve): let the owner resume paused automatic restores (#27459)
* feat(serve): let the owner resume paused automatic restores The terminal daemon now answers automaticWorkStatus and resumeAutomaticWork. Resume clears a recorded same-boot crash pause or a pressure pause, writes the cleared state durably, and wakes restores that were waiting. The runtime exposes runtime.automaticWork.status and runtime.automaticWork.resume (host-admin; advertised as runtime.automatic-work.v1), the CLI adds 'orca serve restore resume', and a sleeping pane paused by its host offers 'Resume automatic restores'. A daemon that predates the requests reports no gate. * fix(serve): a stale daemon cannot resume, and an old one says so Resume now re-reads endpoint ownership right before it runs, so a daemon replaced by a successor cannot rewrite the successor's run marker. A gate-bearing daemon from before resume existed is reported as 'terminal host predates resume' instead of 'no gate'; the CLI says to run the command again after the terminal host restarts, and a sleeping pane still resumes when the user asks for it. --------- Co-authored-by: m4air <m4air@Mac.localdomain> |

fix(serve): decide a duplicate or doomed Electron serve before exec (#27472)
On macOS a second Electron main aborts inside _RegisterApplication before any Orca JavaScript can apply the one-Orca-per-profile rule, so supervisors and agents retrying 'orca serve' loop on SIGABRT (#14541). The CLI now checks the profile before it execs Electron serve. A runtime that answers, or whose socket accepts, is live; one whose socket neither accepts nor refuses, or that refuses this CLI's credentials, is unverifiable; both refuse with exit code 3, the single-instance code systemd units already key off. Only a definitive refusal (ENOENT or ECONNREFUSED) lets it start. A fresh profile keeps the old synchronous launch. A macOS startup abort is remembered per environment, so a later separate 'orca serve' from the same launchd session refuses for 30 minutes with exit 78 instead of aborting again; --force overrides, and a serve that reaches readiness clears it. Adapted from #14768; the Launch Services diagnostic wording and the exit code 3 contract come from #14542. fix(serve): keep the isolated profile off the login keychain (#27463)
* fix(serve): keep the isolated profile off the login keychain The E2E/pairing runtime hands the app a fresh HOME, so there is no login keychain for OSCrypt to read. On the serve path the secret-protection report runs inline before readiness and probes safeStorage on the main thread, where Chromium's keychain lookup creates the item and waits on an authorization reply that never arrives, so `orca serve` never advertises (#25453). The sidecar already launches with --use-mock-keychain for exactly this profile; share that decision and give the foreground serve process the same switches. * test(serve): read spawn args without type assertions Co-authored-by: Paolo <paovalletta@hotmail.it> * fix(serve): only an isolated userData profile drops the keychain The sidecar always runs on a fresh profile, so either E2E variable is enough there. The foreground serve process opens the selected profile's sealed secrets, and a HOME override alone still selects the user's real profile, so it now needs ORCA_E2E_USER_DATA_DIR. feat(runtime): the host refuses a request meant for another runtime (#27224)
A CLI launched from an Orca terminal now sends, with each request, the runtime it verified before sending (expectedRuntimeSource: the launching profile's installation id plus the verified runtime id). The host checks it before parsing params or running any handler and refuses a mismatch with runtime_source_mismatch, so a runtime that took over the endpoint between the CLI's check and its send cannot apply the request. Optional field: an old CLI sends none and an old host ignores it (the CLI's pre-send probe stays the fence there). Hosts advertise runtime-source-fence.v1. fix(cli): check the runtime source before sending (#27206)
* fix(cli): check the runtime source before sending A terminal Orca launches now carries which Orca launched it (ORCA_RUNTIME_SOURCE_ID = the profile's installation id, ORCA_RUNTIME_SOURCE_INCARNATION = the launching runtime id). Before a request is sent, the CLI compares that with the runtime the profile's runtime record names. Same runtime: sent as before. Different runtime: a read-only status.get asks which profile it serves; the same profile (a restart or update) is accepted, anything else is refused before the request reaches it. The vars cross into WSL through WSLENV. The SSH bridge stamps the bridging runtime itself rather than trusting the remote env. The existing orchestration compatibility stamp is untouched. * fix(orcad): drop an inherited runtime source at startup * fix(cli): an explicit switch to another profile is not fenced The stamp also carries the launching runtime's userData path. A CLI that dials a different profile than the one that launched its terminal, and not the platform default an unpinned terminal falls back to, was pointed there on purpose (orca-dev from a packaged Orca's terminal), so the fence does not apply. * refactor(cli): reuse the shared userData path comparison --------- Co-authored-by: m4air <m4air@Mac.localdomain> |

Matched full E2E controls on original main and unchanged reviewed head both pass all 17 applicable tests (nine skips). Earlier intermittent E2E failures are documented in the PR; no assertions were weakened. The final combined-tree audit preserves both branches with no import-boundary violations. |

refactor(orcad-daemon-startup-cli): clean up Phase 3-3.8 code (#26892)
* refactor(orcad-daemon-startup-cli): clean up Phase 3-3.8 code - One helper (getAllDaemonAdapters / listEveryDaemonGeneration) for enumerating daemon generations, replacing five hand-rolled copies. - Shared serve pairing/endpoint readiness for Electron serve and orcad. - One option list builds both --serve-* and orcad serve argv. - holdDaemonAdoptionLease takes an options object; reuse childProcessHasExited. - Drop orcad-entry's dead re-exports and repeated version fallback. - Reuse the shared withTimeout in daemon retirement. - Share the install-wait step in the serve update supervisor. - Trim stale or misplaced comments. Behavior unchanged; production code is net -132 lines. * test(serve): keep real serveOptionArgs in launch mock; pin Electron serve argv --------- Co-authored-by: m4air <m4air@Mac.localdomain> Co-authored-by: m4air <m4air@m4airs-MacBook-Air.local> |

Phase 3.7: fix SSH/remote failures found by adversarial real-host testing (#26847)
* fix(remote-terminal): keep a reconnected pane's size after an SSH outage (P1-4) (#26625) * fix(remote-terminal): keep a reconnected pane's grid when its stale stream is reaped (P1-4) The host's width floor only handed ownership to viewers that had claimed since subscribing. A reconnecting desktop pane re-subscribes without claiming, so when the heartbeat later reaped the dead socket that owned the floor, the host reclaimed the PTY to its spawn size (120x40) and held the pane there. The owner's same-client replacement stream now inherits the floor, and a pane whose stream was reaped before it reconnected resumes ownership on re-register unless the host or another viewer claimed since. * fix(remote-terminal): host typing during an outage revokes the reaped owner's resume Host input reaches the PTY without a renderer viewport claim once the host has reclaimed its grid, so the orphaned-owner entitlement survived and a passive reconnect resized the host pane back to the remote grid. The host write path now clears that entitlement on driving input (query replies, focus reports and launch writes excluded). * test(pty): stub the runtime's host-input note in write-path handler tests --------- Co-authored-by: m4air <m4air@Mac.localdomain> * fix(remote): an oversized RPC reply fails that request instead of closing the host connection (#26624) Expanding a folder with ~80k entries on a managed SSH host produced a files.readDir reply over the 4 MiB encrypted-reply cap. The channel treated that as a transport fault and closed the whole control socket (1013), and the explorer rendered the failed folder as empty. - The WebSocket RPC transport now answers an over-cap reply with a reply_too_large error for that request id, so the channel never sees it. - files.readDir checks remote listings against the request's content budget and names the entry count. - The explorer shows a subfolder's read error on its expanded row. Finding: HH-2 (Phase 3.7 hostile-host). Co-authored-by: m4air <m4air@Mac.localdomain> * fix(ssh): let a slow host finish installing the pinned Node runtime (HH-3) (#26631) * fix(ssh): let a slow host finish installing the pinned Node runtime The POSIX promote (extract, hash, self-test and publish the ~110 MiB node binary) ran under the 30 s default exec timeout. On slow home storage it timed out, the remote work kept running, and the runtime store lock it held stayed until the 20-minute stale rule, so relay rung A queued behind it past its own deploy bound. Give both platforms the 300 s promote bound and have the host release the store lock itself when the promote exits, with owner-checked releases so a late release never removes a lock someone else took. (HH-3) * fix(ssh): let the host release the store lock after a slow under-lock re-hash The under-lock re-check of a sibling-published runtime hashed the ~110 MiB executable as its own command under the 30 s exec default and outside the host-side lock release. On slow storage it timed out, the client correctly kept the lock, and nothing on the host freed it until the 20-minute stale rule, so later installers ran out their deploy bound. Run the re-hash and the conditional promote as one host command wrapped in the host release, and give every full-runtime hash, including the initial probe, the slow-storage bound. (HH-3) * test(ssh): count the combined under-lock re-probe and promote as one host command --------- Co-authored-by: m4air <m4air@Mac.localdomain> * fix(ssh): shell startup output on stdout no longer breaks SSH connect (HH-1) (#26617) * fix(ssh): fence captured exec stdout so shell rc output cannot break connect sshd runs the user's login shell before Orca's /bin/sh wrapper, so any startup-file stdout (fish/tcsh/zsh/bash echo, or a bare terminal-title escape) was glued onto every captured answer. The home probe read "banner\n/home/u" and connect failed with "Remote home is not a valid path". execCommand now wraps wrapped POSIX commands in a per-call nonce fence and returns only the payload between the markers; the SSH folder browser gets the same fence. The fence is the existing WSL captured-login-shell fence, moved to src/shared/posix-stdout-fence.ts so both transports share it. Finding: HH-1 (phase 3.7 hostile-host). Refs #8324. * fix(ssh): fence the login-shell Node probe and fall back from a noisy SFTP handshake The login-shell 'command -v node' probe ran unwrapped, so output from sshd's shell and the nested login profile became the Node path. It now prints a one-line fence every login shell parses, inside that shell. An external sftp-server is started through the user's shell, so startup output corrupts the SFTP handshake. ssh2 reports that parse failure only before the session is ready, so SshConnection.sftp tags it, and relay install transfers treat it as SFTP unavailable and stream over exec stdin. Finding: HH-1 follow-up (phase 3.7 hostile-host). Refs #8324. * fix(ssh): keep the stdout fence marker out of the command text The runtime-store inventory lists processes with ps, which prints its own script, so a literal marker in the script was read as the fence and the store GC skipped every pass. printf now joins the marker from two halves. --------- Co-authored-by: m4air <m4air@Mac.localdomain> * fix(orcad): finish an abandoned update on connect, and refresh renderers after a main-side re-pair (P1-A, P1-C) (#26635) * fix(orcad): finish an update or rollback its client abandoned, and tell renderers about main-side re-pairs P1-A: a wake that finds the activation fence now runs crash recovery, which takes only a stale, previous-boot or exited-own fence. Recovery of an activation interrupted after the candidate launched resumes it: the candidate commits if it passes the readiness gate, else the activation is undone as before. P1-C: invalidating a still-linked environment's transport restarts its status owner, and a renderer that sees status under a newer pairing revision re-reads the catalog before applying it. * fix(orcad): a resumed update keeps the app version that started it Recovery that commits an abandoned candidate stamped no activeAppVersion, so an older desktop read the host as pre-tracking and downgraded it over state the newer build had migrated. The activate journal now records the initiating app version; recovery stamps it, and a journal too old to carry it is undone instead of committed. * test(runtime-env): answer nothing for the status restart a re-pair now triggers * fix(orcad): recovery leaves running an update server a too-old journal cannot commit A journal without candidateAppVersion was sent to undo, which stopped a healthy candidate that had already migrated state and then refused to restart the incumbent, leaving the host serving nothing. Refuse instead, keeping the fence and the candidate, until the operator accepts Restore. --------- Co-authored-by: m4air <m4air@Mac.localdomain> * fix(terminal): a remote recovery never splices stale history above the new screen (P2-5, P2-7) (#26647) * fix(terminal): a remote recovery never splices stale history above the new screen A pushed remote snapshot (overflow recovery, seq-gap resync, first attach) is sent because the client's stream broke, so the pane's own history ends before that image. Since #26319 a screen-only image kept that history, splicing a stale block directly above the final screen with a silent gap of up to ~270k lines (P2-5), and a first attach to an older host left silent holes (P2-7). - Host: the ACK-overflow recovery serializes up to 1000 history rows. - Client: the seq-gap resync asks for the same 1000 rows. - Client: a pushed snapshot always replaces the pane's scrollback; the keep-local-scrollback path is removed. A screen-only image from an older host now shows only its screen, which is lossy but never misleading. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(terminal): a pushed image replaces the normal buffer over a live alt screen too Over a pane already on the alternate screen, an image that also ended on alt repainted only its alt frame and kept the pane's normal buffer, inferring the two had frozen together. Inside the gap the TUI can exit, the shell print and a second TUI start, so once that TUI exited the pane showed its stale history where the host had the missed output. A pushed image now always rebuilds the normal buffer and history from the host before entering alt itself. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(terminal): bound recovery history by link slack and keep pre-TUI scrollback under screen-only images A recovery that carries history now goes out only when the stream's ACK window has drained; under a sustained flood recoveries stay screen-only and the owed history follows once the client catches up, so snapshot bytes no longer outgrow the client's intake. A pushed image without history (scrollbackRows absent or 0) over a live alt screen repaints only the alt frame again, so a reconnect to an older host no longer wipes the pane's pre-TUI scrollback. --------- Co-authored-by: m4air <m4air@Mac.localdomain> Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(source-control): Stage All stages every change when the listing hit the 1,000 cap (HH-4) (#26618) * fix(source-control): Stage All stages every change when the listing hit the 1,000 cap The status listing stops at 1,000 rows, but Stage All built its path list from those rows, so it staged 1,000 of 20,000 changes and the next commit was silently partial. When the listing is capped, Stage All (and the Changes header Stage all) now asks the host to stage the whole worktree via an optional scope on git.bulkStage; unresolved conflicts stay unstaged. Older hosts ignore the field and stage the listed paths. Fixes HH-4. * fix(source-control): whole-worktree Stage All needs a host receipt, skips shared links, and reaches mobile - Scoped stage sends no paths and requires a stagedScope receipt, so an older runtime or relay stages nothing and the client reports it instead of a silent partial stage. - Scoped 'all' skips Orca's shared symlinks (configured and really a link), matching the status listing. - The capped-listing banner offers Stage All, reachable when the visible prefix is entirely staged. - Mobile reads didHitLimit and uses the same scoped stage and receipt. * test(source-control): type the Stage All test stubs so lint and the mobile test typecheck pass * fix(source-control): match Shared Paths saved as ./name or name/ against git's spelling The Shared Paths setting keeps entries as typed, but git prints worktree paths without a leading ./ or trailing /. Stage All's conflict path compared the raw spelling to git's untracked list and staged the shared node_modules link, and an exclude pathspec ending in / made git refuse the add after tracked changes were already staged. Status listing had the same mismatch. getSafeRelativePath now returns git's spelling, so every caller gets it, including saved settings. --------- Co-authored-by: m4air <m4air@Mac.localdomain> * fix(ssh): redeploy a managed server another desktop stopped; forget one whose host is gone (P1-D, P1-E) (#26628) * fix(ssh): redeploy a server another desktop stopped; let a dead managed host be forgotten P1-D: a connect whose linked server the host reports as not activated (another desktop stopped it) now goes on to the update check, which redeploys it in place. P1-E: add Forget (managedServer.forget, orca environment forget, Settings row) that runs Stop's local unlink without contacting the host; the verdict stays unverifiable. * test(ssh): type the forget test's hoisted store without an assertion * fix(ssh): never downgrade a stopped host; redeploy it mid-session and retry after a failure A stop now keeps the stopped build's Orca version, so an older desktop's reconnect skips as host-newer instead of starting an older server on a store a newer build migrated. A stop recorded without that version is not guessed at. A stopped host retries the redeploy on each connect instead of the once-per-version failure suppression, and a runtime call that finds the server stopped mid-session redeploys it before the call. * fix(ssh): rebuild the managed forward after redeploying a stopped host A redeploy can bind a different port than the reused forward targets. * fix(ssh): keep stop journals readable by older desktops and recheck version policy under the fence - The stop journal's recordAfter is the core deactivated record older peers compute; the committed record keeps activeAppVersion (which released planners already honour) and rolledBackFrom, rebuilt from recordBefore on recovery. - Auto-update re-applies its version policy to the record read under the host fence, and a census counted against another incumbent is treated as unverifiable. * fix(ssh): file a dispatched stop where older desktops cannot commit it, so their recovery never drops the version guard * fix(ssh): refuse a fresh deploy of an older orcad onto a host a newer desktop stopped The unlinked deploy path never consulted the stopped record's activeAppVersion, so a desktop without a link to the host could activate its older build over state a newer build migrated. Both the auto-update planner and the fresh deploy now apply one downgrade rule under the fence. --------- Co-authored-by: m4air <m4air@Mac.localdomain> * fix(ssh): redeploy a managed server a pre-version Stop left; let a forced deploy run over a newer one (#26766) A stopped activation record without activeAppVersion is what every Stop on main writes, so refusing it stranded those hosts behind an unforceable policy refusal. Only a provably newer host is now refused; a forced fresh deploy runs this version anyway, and the refusal names both versions. Co-authored-by: m4air <m4air@m4airs-MacBook-Air.local> * fix(remote-terminal): no keystroke lost, duplicated or split across a silent outage (P1-1, P1-2, P1-3) (#26630) * fix(remote-terminal): no keystroke lost, duplicated or split across a silent outage Remote pane input was fire-and-forget: keys handed to a socket that had silently died were gone, keys still in the 8 ms debounce at detection were cleared, and held keys were discarded when the auto-recovery window ran out. - New negotiated `inputAck` capability: the client names an input session and sequences Input frames (existing frame header `seq`); the host records the last applied sequence per (PTY, session) across connections, writes each sequence once and acks it with new opcode InputAck (18), sent only to clients that advertised the capability. - The pane keeps sent-but-unacked input and replays it to the same terminal on reattach; the host dedupes. Old hosts keep current behavior. - Debounced and claim-queued input at detection is held, not cleared. - Held input survives the 'disconnected' phase; the hold coalesces keys so minutes of typing do not hit the per-entry cap. - Banner copy no longer claims a one-minute retry window. Fixes P1-1, P1-2, P1-3 (phase 3.7 network findings). * fix(remote-terminal): never replay into a restarted runtime; keep Ctrl+C and validating paste in order - Host publishes inputLedgerId with inputAck; the client drops unacknowledged input sent to a different ledger (runtime restart with the same PTY) instead of running it twice. - A replayed duplicate is acked only after the original write settles. - Accepted input (Ctrl+C, Escape, paste) rides the sequenced stream and resolves on the host ack. - Keys typed while held queue behind a paste still in size validation. * fix(remote-terminal): parse subscribed capabilities into a typed shape instead of Reflect.get * fix(remote-terminal): ack only applied input; withdraw writes their caller gave up on - Host ledger records each write's outcome: a refused write is rolled back and never acked, so the client's replay writes it; nothing queued behind it runs or is acked. A write that threw is acked as delivery-unknown, so the client reports it failed and never replays it. - Paste and file-drop timeouts abort their accepted write: a copy still held for an outage is withdrawn, and a journaled copy is left out of the replay. - A batch of sequenced input keeps one endpoint and ledger, so a send that retires the stream mid-batch no longer discards earlier unacked input. * fix(remote-terminal): host writes sequenced input strictly in order and asks the live stream to resend after a refusal - The ledger admits only the next sequence; a refusal or gap answers with an InputAck resend request instead of WriteUnavailable, so the pane keeps its journal and resends on the same stream (no remount, no carrier bookkeeping). - Sequenced input uses the provider's settled write; an unverifiable handoff is delivery-unknown, not refused. - Replays fill given-up slots with empty input so the host can continue; the client remounts only after every resend backoff is refused. - Typing batched ahead of a paste goes out as its own sequences, so cancelling the paste keeps it. * refactor(remote-terminal): deliver sequenced input with standard go-back-N Replace the hand-built "block on refusal" bookkeeping with go-back-N: - Host: per (PTY, input session) the ledger keeps only appliedSeq, the highest contiguous confirmed write. Frames run one at a time in arrival order: a duplicate is re-acked, the next sequence is written and acked on confirmed success, and a refusal or gap is answered with a resend request carrying appliedSeq. No blocked state; every stream is equal. A settlement that proves no byte left is a refusal; one that may have written advances as delivery-unknown and is never retried. - Client: one journal keeps unacked input in order and resends from appliedSeq + 1 on a resend request (with backoff), on a new stream, or when acks stall. Refusals never remount the pane. Withdrawn pastes, stale query replies and over-budget bytes resend as empty slots. - The recovery hold pauses (keeps the rest) when a release is cut short by another outage, and keeps delivering typing after an accepted write a sequenced stream withdrew or could not confirm. - Add a seeded model-based test that drives the real pane transport, multiplexer and journal against the real host dispatcher and ledger through 2,000 random fault schedules. * test(remote-terminal): cover the refusal remount on a stream without sequenced input A sequenced stream now resends refused input on the same stream instead of remounting, so the end-to-end remount check negotiates no inputAck, as an older peer does. * fix(remote-terminal): escalate persistent input refusals, drop input once recovery gives up, and never report a lost unknown ack as applied - The pane falls back to its remount path when the host keeps refusing input past the resend backoff ladder. - Held and journaled input is discarded when auto-recovery gives up, and input typed under the disconnected banner is not held. - The host ledger answers a duplicate for its own sequence and remembers delivery-unknown outcomes; the client settles a write as applied only from its own ack. - The input model now requires a write reported applied to have reached the PTY whole, and covers a refusal that never clears. Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> --------- Co-authored-by: m4air <m4air@Mac.localdomain> Co-authored-by: m4air <m4air@m4airs-MacBook-Air.local> Co-authored-by: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(remote-terminal): keep input typed past the auto-recovery window for the same terminal, within a bounded grace (P1-3) (#26832) The last round of #26630 discarded held and journaled input as soon as auto-recovery gave up, and refused input under the disconnected banner. On a real host a 200 s outage lost 102 of 120 keystrokes, although the pane reattached the same terminal on its own seconds later. Input now stays held for the same handle and incarnation while the pane is disconnected, for up to 5 minutes after it gave up. Past that grace it is discarded, and typing into the dead pane is refused, so stale keys never run at an arbitrary later reconnect. The grace is a timestamp checked when input moves, so a latched pane stays free of timers. Let automations pass extra agent arguments on each run (#26659)
* Let automations pass extra agent arguments on each run Automations could only use the host's default agent Arguments, so a per-automation choice such as a different model needed a settings change that affected every run. Automations can now save extra arguments that are appended to the host's defaults on each fresh run. Extras are allowlisted to model, effort, and Claude's --add-dir, and are refused for permission, config, prompt, and session options. - Add the field through the CLI (`automations create/edit --extra-agent-args`), the RPC contract, the automation store, and the editor's Advanced section, with validation at save and at launch. - Merge extras over the defaults by replacing a model or effort option the defaults already set, then re-tokenize to confirm the launch argv matches what was validated. - Gate writes behind a new runtime capability, and refuse to save or migrate extras to a host that would silently drop them. - Require a fresh session, since reused sessions cannot take new arguments. * Simplify automation argument validation and launch handling * improve the extra args display * fix translation * Validate automation extra args during ORCA migration Dormant automations imported from the migration manifest skipped the extra-args check. A disallowed flag, or Reuse combined with extra args, could persist and then fail every later run. The manifest parser now rejects those rows. Also move the automation runtime capability constants into `automation-runtime-capabilities.ts`. `protocol-version.ts` re-exports them, so existing imports keep working. * add more demo with effort |
