* Add keyboard shortcut to toggle the Quick Commands menu
- New `tab.openQuickCommandsMenu` keybinding action (no default binding)
- TabBarQuickCommandsMenu listens for the binding and toggles open/closed
- Scoped to the active tab group naturally since the component only mounts when its group is focused
* Show keyboard shortcut in Quick Commands menu trigger tooltip
* Add tests
* expand tests
* Expand keyboard toggle to call handleOpenChange and skip repeated keys
- Replace `setMenuOpen` toggle with `handleOpenChange(!menuOpen)` so closing
via keyboard runs the same reset logic (query, focus frame, value override)
- Guard against key-repeat events to prevent rapid toggling on held key
- Wrap `handleOpenChange` in `useCallback` so it's stable enough to include
in the `useEffect` dependency array without causing spurious re-registrations
- Update tests to reflect that re-running the effect between presses is
required for the close path, and add a repeat-event test
* Add docstring to withShortcutHint func

A deterministic per-load renderer fault (bad GPU driver, corrupt chunk,
AV interference) crashes on every load. Orca auto-reloads recoverable
renderer deaths after 250ms, so without a limit it reloads every
~0.25-1.3s forever — the Windows clusters F0BDRAZN55L (launch-failed
exit 18, bootstrap loop ~1.3s) and F0BDPCL93UM (ACCESS_VIOLATION on
Win10 1909, ~0.8s loop). shouldRecoverRendererAfterProcessGone only
gated integrity-failure/launch-failed, never 'crashed'/'killed'.
Add a rolling-window circuit breaker (3 recoveries / 60s) consulted at
the reload point in createMainWindow. When it opens, Orca stops
auto-reloading, records a renderer_recovery_circuit_breaker_open
breadcrumb, and shows a native Reload/Quit prompt (the renderer is dead,
so a main-process dialog is the only available surface). The window is
NOT reset on did-finish-load: a crash loop renders on every cycle before
dying, so stale attempts must age out by time instead.
Covered by renderer-recovery-circuit-breaker.test.ts (pure helper) and a
createMainWindow.test.ts integration test that drives the loop and
asserts reloads stop after the limit.

* chore(lint): upgrade oxlint to 1.71 and enable 7 new rules
Upgrade oxlint 1.67.0 -> 1.71.0 (1.72 was blocked by the repo's 3-day
minimum-release-age supply-chain guard; nothing here needs it). The
bump is a no-op on the existing config.
Enable 3 error rules (backlog autofixed to zero in this commit) and
4 warn rules (surface signal without gating CI):
error (autofixed, behavior-preserving):
- unicorn/prefer-node-protocol (~1531 sites: bare builtin -> node:)
- typescript/no-import-type-side-effects (~36: all-inline-type -> import type)
- unicorn/no-array-reverse (19: copy-then-reverse -> toReversed)
warn (real signal, current fires are test-only/correct):
- unicorn/no-array-fill-with-reference-type (aliasing footgun guard)
- typescript/no-unsafe-function-type (bans bare Function type)
- unicorn/prefer-array-flat-map (map().flat() -> flatMap())
- unicorn/prefer-regexp-test (.match() in bool ctx -> .test())
mobile/.oxlintrc.json extends root, so it inherits all 7; the autofix
ran from root and covered mobile/ too.
Verification (all green): oxlint 0 errors (root+mobile+aux configs),
oxfmt clean, typecheck (node+cli+web), vitest 22795 passed / 0 failed,
builds (electron-vite + web + cli) succeed. node: rewrites confirmed to
skip embedded SSH/CLI string payloads (AST-only); all toReversed sites
verified to operate on fresh copies or write-once locals.
* chore(lint): bump mobile oxlint to 1.71 so inherited rules parse
mobile/ is a standalone pnpm project pinning its own oxlint@1.67, which
lacks unicorn/no-array-fill-with-reference-type (needs >=1.70). Since
mobile/.oxlintrc.json extends the root config, mobile CI's 'cd mobile &&
oxlint' failed to parse the new rule. Bump mobile to match root (1.71).
Verified in mobile/: oxlint 0 errors, oxfmt --check clean, tsc --noEmit
pass, vitest 978 passed / 0 failed.

* Fix browser pane stuck in HTML fullscreen (#6442)
Guest content in a browser pane could enter HTML fullscreen but not
exit it: requestFullscreen() resized the host BrowserWindow into native
fullscreen, and exitFullscreen() had nothing to restore, leaving the
pane stuck.
Set the webview's disableHtmlFullscreenWindowResize preference so HTML
fullscreen is contained to the <webview> element. Exit then works and
fullscreenchange fires as guests expect.

* fix(window): remove double title bar on Linux
On Linux the BrowserWindow titleBarStyle fell through to undefined, so
the native WM title bar stayed and stacked on top of Orca's own
renderer-drawn titlebar — two title bars. macOS (hiddenInset) and
Windows (hidden) already suppress the native one.
Drop the native frame on Linux (frame: false) and extend the renderer's
Windows-only custom-titlebar branches (logo/menu anchor, app-name
hiding, window-controls spacer + CSS vars, and the WindowControls
min/max/close cluster) to Linux via a shared `hasCustomTitleBar` flag,
so Linux gets one title bar with working window controls — matching the
Windows custom-titlebar path.

Fixed Windows titlebar bugs: WindowControls icon now seeded via new ipc isMaximized() getter on mount; CSS height dropped from 42px to 36px; spacer added to floating right-sidebar toggle and RightSidebar header so content isn't occluded.
Findings addressed:

- [medium] src/renderer/src/assets/main.css:434-460 — Window controls 42px tall but titlebar 36px — bottom 6px overlays content
- [low] src/renderer/src/App.tsx:776-803 — Spacer only rendered in workspace-active titlebar branch

* fix(agents): smarter TUI-ready heuristic + bracketed paste for codex/pi/opencode
Replaces per-agent strategy guesswork with a measured readiness check:
title-idle / non-shell-foreground stable for 1.5s / 2.5s minimum floor.
Verified against codex, pi, opencode, claude in a node-pty + xterm-headless
test rig — bracketed paste lands in the input buffer for all four.
Co-authored-by: Orca <help@stably.ai>
* refactor(agents): drop unused per-agent draft strategy abstraction
The TUI-ready heuristic in agent-paste-draft.ts works for every tested
agent (claude/codex/pi/opencode), so the AgentDraftInjectionStrategy
field, type-chars + bracketed-paste-slow code paths, and per-agent
overrides are dead. Keep the `agent` arg on pasteDraftWhenAgentReady
for future per-agent escape hatches without touching every call site.
Co-authored-by: Orca <help@stably.ai>
* feat(agents): skip draft URL injection for copilot + cursor-agent
Both TUIs open with a 'Do you trust this folder?' menu on first launch
that consumes keystrokes as menu input — pasting a URL there either
selects an arbitrary option or quits the session. Mark them with
skipDraftUrlInjection so the workspace still opens cleanly; the user
types/pastes the URL themselves once past the trust menu.
Co-authored-by: Orca <help@stably.ai>
* feat(agents): native --prefill for claude, trust pre-write for cursor/copilot
Replaces the empirical TUI-ready waits with two deterministic mechanisms:
1) `claude --prefill <text>` flag — Claude launches with the URL already in
its input box, no submit. Eliminates the readiness/paste race entirely
for the most common agent.
2) DECSET 2004 (`\x1b[?2004h`) detection on the PTY data stream for every
other agent. That escape is the protocol-level "input layer ready,
accepting bracketed paste" handshake — emitted by claude/codex/pi/
opencode/gemini/cursor-agent/copilot the moment the input box mounts.
We tap it via a sidecar subscription on pty-dispatcher (no interference
with the primary xterm handler) and paste as soon as it lands. The
8s budget is now an upper bound, not a target.
Cursor-agent and Copilot's "Do you trust this folder?" menus are bypassed
by writing the same trust artifacts the CLIs themselves write after the
user accepts:
- Cursor: `~/.cursor/projects/<slug>/.workspace-trusted` (slug = abs path
with leading `/` stripped, remaining `/` → `-`).
- Copilot: append cwd to `trustedFolders` in `~/.copilot/config.json`
(the same array the bundled `addTrustedFolder` writes).
Verified against the cursor-agent CLI bundle (versions/2026.04.17-787b533/
index.js: `_=".workspace-trusted"`) and the @github/copilot 1.0.32 bundle
(`isFolderTrusted` / `addTrustedFolder` both read/write `trustedFolders`).
Both check via realpath() before string-comparing, so the trust preset
canonicalizes too.
skipDraftUrlInjection is dropped — both agents now get the draft URL
paste once the trust menu is pre-resolved.
Tests: 24 passing across tui-agent-startup, agent-trust-presets,
pty-dispatcher routing.

* fix(agents): wait for post-?2004h render burst to settle before paste
OpenCode emits DECSET 2004 at ~500ms during alt-screen setup, then runs
a 1.3s splash render with NO bytes on the PTY, then paints the actual
input box at ~1.85s. Pasting on the bare ?2004h signal lands during the
silent gap and the bytes are dropped.
The fix: take ?2004h as the necessary precondition, then wait for the
TUI's render burst to finish — defined as 1500ms of stream silence
after the most recent post-?2004h byte. This captures both the fast
TUIs (claude/pi/codex emit setup escapes in one burst then go quiet)
and the slow ones (opencode emits, sleeps for the splash, emits again,
then goes quiet).
Verified against opencode/claude/pi in a node-pty rig: paste lands on
the first try with the new strategy. The hard 8s timeout still caps
the wait when an agent fails to launch.

* fix(agents): guard agentTrust IPC so stale preload doesn't crash launch
If the preload bundle is older than the renderer (a real situation in
electron-vite dev because preload changes only apply on full restart,
not HMR), `window.api.agentTrust` is undefined and the launch crashes
with "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'markTrusted')"
before the worktree even opens.
Guard the call sites in launch-work-item-direct and useComposerState
to skip the trust pre-write when the IPC isn't exposed, and wrap the
invoke in try/catch so an IPC error never blocks the launch — the user
just sees the trust menu and accepts it manually, same as before this
feature shipped.

* feat(tasks): route 'Use' through the New Workspace dialog instead of yolo-create
The Use CTA on the Tasks page used to create+activate a worktree
synchronously, which surprised users — the worktree appeared in the
sidebar before they had a chance to confirm name / agent / setup. The
unified New Workspace dialog landed in this branch already supports
opening with a linked work item pre-filled (see openComposerForItem /
openComposerForLinearItem), so just route Use through it.
The launchWorkItemDirect helper stays exported for ProjectViewWrapper,
which has its own UX where the immediate-create flow is the right call.

* test(agents): include `agent` field in autohand startup-plan assertion
Merging main brought in the Autohand Code agent test (PR #1382), which
predated this branch's addition of `agent` to AgentStartupPlan.
Aligning the assertion fixes the lone CI test failure on this PR.
Co-authored-by: Orca <help@stably.ai>
* refactor(agents): drop unused expectedProcess arg + snapshot sidecar set
Two minor follow-ups from self-review:
1. `pasteDraftWhenAgentReady` no longer reads `expectedProcess` — readiness
is gated on DECSET 2004 alone now, not on PTY foreground process. Drop
it from the signature and from the two callers (launch-work-item-direct,
new-workspace).
2. The pty-dispatcher's sidecar fan-out iterates the live Set, which is
safe against deleting the current element but not against a watcher
that synchronously subscribes a sibling. Snapshot via Array.from
before the loop. Cheap (Set is tiny) and removes the latent footgun.
No behavior change.
Co-authored-by: Orca <help@stably.ai>
* test(e2e): match the unified smart-name input's new placeholder
The CreateFromTab refactor in this branch replaced the separate "Workspace
name" Input with a single SmartWorkspaceNameField whose default-mode
placeholder is "Type a name, #1234, branch, GitHub or Linear URL". The
worktree-create e2e test was still anchoring on the old "Workspace name"
text and could not find the input.
Update the placeholder regex to match the new copy. Free-form text typed
into smart mode is treated as a workspace name by submitQuick — same
contract the test used before.
Verified locally: targeted e2e passes in 2.2s.

On close/quit (especially auto-updater relaunch via quitAndInstall),
Electron/OS emit resize/move/unmaximize while the window is torn down.
The debounced persistence was capturing those near-minimum bounds, so
the next launch came up at minWidth x minHeight.
- Freeze bounds persistence on window 'close' and app 'before-quit'
(updater strips the window 'close' listener before quitting, so
the app-level latch is needed as a second line of defense).
- Release the freeze on will-prevent-unload so aborted Cmd+Q keeps
saving bounds.
- On restore, discard saved bounds at/below the min dimensions to
recover users who already persisted corrupt bounds.

* feat(settings): add Ghostty config import

and probe documented Ghostty config paths before applying changes.
Refs #958
* chore(git): ignore atl artifacts
* feat(settings): map font-weight, cursor-blink and focus-follows-mouse from Ghostty
Adds three safe direct-mapping Ghostty keys that have clear equivalents
in GlobalSettings: font-weight, cursor-style-blink, and focus-follows-mouse.
Refs #958
* feat(settings): expand Ghostty import to support colors, opacity and option-as-alt
- Add TerminalColorOverrides type grouping 21 optional xterm ITheme fields
- Add terminalBackgroundOpacity, terminalPanePaddingColor, terminalPaddingBalance
to GlobalSettings
- Extend parser to collect repeated keys as string[] (needed for palette lines)
- Map background-opacity, background, foreground, cursor-color,
selection-background/foreground, palette (0-15), window-padding-color,
window-padding-balance, macos-option-as-alt in mapper
- Merge terminalColorOverrides into xterm ITheme at theme resolution; apply
opacity as rgba() with allowTransparency enabled
- Accept hex colors with or without leading # (Ghostty omits it)
- Fix preview diff to use deep equality for object values so already-applied
color overrides no longer reappear on next import
* feat(settings): support background-blur-radius and window-padding-color extend in Ghostty import
- Map background-blur-radius > 0 to windowBackgroundBlur: true; apply
vibrancy on macOS and backgroundMaterial acrylic on Windows at window
creation (blur requires restart — no hot-reload IPC exists)
- Accept window-padding-color = extend/background as valid Ghostty values;
both map to default Orca padding behavior (undefined field) instead of
landing in unsupportedKeys
- Split mapper.test.ts into domain-scoped describes to stay under 300-line limit
* feat(settings): add Window section to Terminal settings panel
Expose terminalBackgroundOpacity, windowBackgroundBlur, terminalPaddingBalance,
terminalPanePaddingColor, and terminalColorOverrides in the settings UI so
imported Ghostty values can be viewed and changed manually.
- New TerminalWindowSection component (extracted from TerminalPane to stay
under the 400-line limit)
- Collapsible color overrides sub-section with ColorField for all 21 xterm
ITheme fields grouped as base, ANSI normal, and ANSI bright
- Reset button clears all color overrides at once
- Window blur toggle shows restart-required note (blur applies at window
creation, no hot-reload IPC exists)
- Search entries added for all new controls
* feat(settings): expand Ghostty import with scrollback, padding, divider, cursor and word-chars keys
Map 9 additional Ghostty keys to Orca settings:
- split-divider-color → terminalDividerColorDark + terminalDividerColorLight
(single value applies to both; Ghostty has no dark/light distinction)
- unfocused-split-opacity → terminalInactivePaneOpacity (direct float 0-1)
- scrollback-limit → terminalScrollbackLimit; applied to xterm scrollback option
- window-padding-x / window-padding-y → terminalPaddingX/Y; applied as CSS
vars --pane-padding-x / --pane-padding-y in terminal.css
- cursor-text → terminalColorOverrides.cursorAccent (xterm ITheme field)
- bold-color → terminalColorOverrides.bold (persisted; xterm ITheme has no
bold field yet — stored for future xterm upgrade)
- cursor-opacity → terminalCursorOpacity; blended into cursor rgba at theme
resolution time
- selection-word-chars → terminalWordSeparator; applied to xterm wordSeparator
- mouse-hide-while-typing → terminalMouseHideWhileTyping field added; renderer
application deferred (needs per-pane disposable + global mousemove listener)
* feat(settings): expose new Ghostty-imported settings in Terminal Settings UI
- Window section: scrollback limit, horizontal/vertical padding, hide mouse
while typing toggle, cursor text and bold color in Color Overrides
- Cursor section: cursor opacity NumberField
- Advanced section: word separators text input
- Search entries added for all new controls
- terminalDividerColorDark/Light and terminalInactivePaneOpacity skipped —
already present in Theme and Pane Styling sections respectively
* feat(terminal): implement mouse-hide-while-typing per pane
Register terminal.onData → cursor:none and mousemove → restore, scoped to
the pane container element. Uses the existing IDisposable per-pane pattern
(same as selectionDisposablesRef). Cleans up on pane close and effect teardown.
* refactor(settings): address ghostty import code review findings
- Centralize GhosttyImportPreview type in shared/types (remove duplicate from mapper)
- Fix parser to strip inline comments without breaking hex color values (#1a1a1a)
- Extract HEX_COLOR_RE to shared/color-validation to avoid duplication
- Remove redundant Number.isNaN checks after Number.isFinite (4 sites)
- Replace unsafe catch-all assignment with explicit font-family branch
- Migrate 280-line if-chain in mapGhosttyToOrca to FIELD_PARSERS registry
- Add human-readable setting labels in GhosttyImportModal via setting-labels map
- Add clarifying comment in index.ts re JSON.stringify undefined behavior
* fix(settings): harden ghostty import from judgment-day review
- Surface readFile errors in GhosttyImportPreview.error instead of
showing misleading 'No config found' on permission denied
- Guard handleApply against double-apply when already applied
- Strip surrounding quotes from parsed config values (font-family)
- Return null from palette handler when all entries fail validation
- Inform user when background-blur-radius radius is not preserved
- Add valuesEqual key-order stability via stableStringify
- Normalize hex colors to #-prefixed format across all color mappers
- Reject blank values before numeric parsing (Number('') === 0 trap)
- Remove selection-word-chars mapping (inverted xterm semantics)
- Guard window-padding-x/y against negative integers
- Reactive mouse-hide-while-typing on existing panes when setting toggles
- Merge terminalColorOverrides on import instead of replacing
* fix(ghostty): drop broken imports, tighten parsing, prompt restart for blur
Review found three high-impact issues in the Ghostty import: scrollback-limit
semantics are inverted/rescaled (Ghostty is bytes with 0=unlimited, xterm is
rows with 0=disabled), and window-padding-color + window-padding-balance set
CSS custom properties (--pane-padding-color, --pane-padding-balance) that
have no consuming rule anywhere in the tree — so users confirming "changes"
to those keys would see nothing happen.
Because none of the three keys have a safe mapping today, drop them from the
import and remove the dead UI controls + GlobalSettings fields + CSS var
plumbing. The mapper now lists them as unsupportedKeys alongside the
existing window-decoration / keybind / custom-shader entries.
Other fixes in the same review:
- allowTransparency now clears when background-opacity returns to 1 (prior
code only ever set it to true, leaving a stale flag with measurable render
cost).
- background-blur-radius = 0 no longer emits a misleading "radius value not
preserved" note (0 cleanly maps to blur=false with no radius to lose).
- Add a 1 MB size cap on the config read so a pathological or symlinked file
cannot OOM the main process.
- Make handleApply async and surface IPC errors inline in the modal instead
of flipping straight to "Import complete" on failure.
- Type settings.previewGhosttyImport as Promise<GhosttyImportPreview> in
preload so shape drift is caught at compile time.
- Make stableStringify recursive so future nested settings round-trip
cleanly through valuesEqual.
- Restrict window-padding-x/y and background-blur-radius to decimal ints;
prior code accepted exponent notation (1e10 sails through Number.isInteger)
and would have landed absurd values in the store.
- Window blur now shows a "Restart required" banner with a Restart now
button when the setting differs from the mount-time snapshot, mirroring
the ExperimentalPane daemon pattern. Blur only applies at BrowserWindow
creation on macOS/Windows.

* feat(settings): move Ghostty import trigger to Terminal section header
Per review feedback: the "Import from Ghostty" row was taking its own slot
in the Terminal settings list alongside real configuration sections. Move
the trigger into the Terminal section's header (upper-right corner) as a
headerAction, next to the Terminal heading — it's a one-shot action, not a
setting.
- SettingsSection gains an optional `headerAction` slot rendered to the
right of the section title/description.
- The useGhosttyImport hook is lifted from TerminalPane into Settings.tsx
so the section header button (owned by Settings.tsx) and the modal
(still rendered inside TerminalPane) share one state instance.
- TerminalPane drops its own "Import" section + the TERMINAL_GHOSTTY_IMPORT
search entry group is no longer referenced there.
- Button carries the official Ghostty mark as a 16x16 icon so it reads
clearly as a cross-app import even before users parse the label.
useGhosttyImport now accepts `GlobalSettings | null` so the parent can call
it above the pre-load spinner guard without violating hook ordering; the
apply path no-ops until settings arrive. Related test file updated to
pass the new `ghostty` prop and to assert the trigger is *not* rendered
inside TerminalPane anymore.
