* fix(wsl): Settings CLI status, startup CLI repair, interop health and link checks never boot a stopped distro (E9)
- cli:getWslInstallStatus: opening Settings takes a settled running read and shows a refreshable
"not running" status instead of starting the distro; the refresh button passes wakeWslDistro.
- Startup CLI repair re-reads each listed distro (settled) right before its repair spawns and
defers it otherwise, so a distro stopping mid fan-out is not restarted.
- Interop health: stop-triggered checks no longer trust the stop event's list; every check takes a
settled read, and again before the root repair.
- shell:pathsExist (chat link and terminal hover existence) refuses a stopped distro's UNC path
instead of statting it; callers already retry an unverifiable answer.
* docs(wsl): note the missing-kernel availability probe as the known E9 exception
* fix(wsl): shell:pathsExist refuses only the stopped distro's path, not the whole batch
One UNC path in a stopped distro no longer fails the host paths checked with it; the renderer
treats that path alone as unverifiable and retries it.
* fix(shell): OS open actions follow the file's owner, not the focused server
Every shell open request (openPath, openInFileManager, openInExternalEditor,
openFilePath, openFileUri) now carries the path's owning host. Main allows
only a local owner, plus the SSH editor launch when the owner is that same
SSH target, and no longer consults the focused server. The renderer reveal
and Open-in checks drop their focused-server check to match.
* test(e2e): name the owner on the local editor control open
* fix(explorer): Open in follows the catalog owner for folder and host-only SSH workspaces
The explorer toolbar and the source-control Open in menu took their SSH
connection from the repo row, which a folder workspace or a host-only SSH
repo does not have, so the route read as local. Both now derive the route
from the catalog-confirmed owner.
* fix(sidebar): Open in keeps the SSH target of folder and host-only SSH rows
The row resolver now returns the SSH connection it resolved alongside the
runtime owner, so a folder workspace or host-only SSH repo with no repo
connection no longer reads as local.

* feat(native-chat): attach several files from one picker selection
Picks over 256 files are rejected whole, matching the drop limit.
Fixes#23905
* refactor(native-chat): name the composer action for the files it now attaches
The hook still returned `pickAttachment` after it started attaching a
whole selection. Also records why the plural IPC handler sits next to the
singular one, matching its siblings in the same file.
* test(native-chat): cover the paperclip forwarding every picked path
The one line that makes the feature work — the composer handing the whole
picker result to attachExternalPaths — had no test; reverting it to
paths[0] kept every existing test green. Adds a hook test for the
multi-path, canceled, and wrong-pane cases, plus the missing canceled
case for the shell:pickAttachments handler.
* test(native-chat): exercise multi-pick through renderHook
* test(settings): preserve label fallback and verify Spanish copy
Keep latest main's missing-label fixture and restore its translation namespace after cleanup, so later tests still load real catalogs. Independently assert the shipped Spanish resource and rendered supported-agents label.

* perf(terminal): batch file-link existence checks on their owning host
* test(relay): allow additive filesystem capabilities
* fix(web): keep terminal file links working under batched existence checks
createShellApi omitted pathsExist, so withFallback answered the new batch
call with a truthy proxy resolving to undefined and the whole hover batch
rejected — dropping every link on lines with an out-of-worktree path.
* test(web): assert the shim without type assertions

`src/preload/api-types.ts` was 3,752 raw lines (3,533 counted, 11.8x the
300-line budget) behind an `eslint-disable max-lines`. Almost all of it was a
single `PreloadApi` object type whose ~83 namespace properties were declared
inline, so any IPC surface change meant editing one 2,600-line type.
Give each namespace a named type in its own module under `src/preload/api/`
(`pty-api.ts`, `filesystem-api.ts`, `github-pull-request-api.ts`, ...) and
recompose `PreloadApi` from those names. `api-types.ts` keeps the `declare
global` Window augmentation and re-exports every moved name, so all 52 import
sites are untouched.
Two shapes needed care to stay type-identical rather than merely compatible:
- Three keys (`gh`, `git`, `ui`) are composed from two modules each. A plain
intersection is NOT identical to the original flat object literal, so those
use a `Merged<T>` mapped type; a negative control confirmed that dropping it
fails the parity assertion.
- Keys whose module groups several namespaces use indexed access
(`fs: FilesystemApi['fs']`) to preserve exact identity and source order.
`config/tsconfig.web.json` and `tsconfig.tc.web.json` enumerate files by path,
so they need `src/preload/api/**/*` alongside the existing `api-types.ts` seed
or the web projects fail TS6307.
Verified by exact type identity, not assignability: 41 assertions of the form
`Equals<Now.X, Before.X>` against a frozen pre-split snapshot, covering every
exported name, plus a per-key pass over all 83 `PreloadApi` keys. All three
projects typecheck clean with those assertions active.
Verification note: these tsconfigs are `composite: true`, and `tsc --noEmit`
will reuse a stale `.tsbuildinfo` and report clean for a state that genuinely
fails. Every result above was produced after deleting the buildinfo, including
a negative control confirming the gate still fails on deliberate drift.
Drops the `max-lines` bypass and its baseline entry (ratchet 346 -> 345).
