3 people 95d61411d9 test(sidebar): port the jump-palette and e2e coverage from #8966 ...

Combines the two PRs open against #8873. #8966's production change is a strict
subset of this branch's (its exempt set {isMainWorktree AND branch != ''} is
contained in {isMainWorktree}), so only its tests are worth carrying — but they
cover ground this branch had none of: a real render harness for the jump palette
instead of a source-string assertion, and the only e2e for the fix.

Two assertions are flipped from #8966: it asserted a folder-mode main stays
hidden, because its exemption keyed on the branch name. This branch keys on
isMainWorktree, so folder workspaces are deliberately exempt too, and those
cases now document that choice.

Adds what #8966 predates: the alwaysShowDefaultBranchWorkspace opt-out is now
exercised through the DOM and end-to-end, in both directions.
