The comment described the pre-evidence hazard it no longer causes: the catch
now publishes an `unverifiable` verdict, so the retained `?? null` legacy name
(kept byte-identical for pre-evidence wire peers) can no longer read as an
exit. Left as-is it invites a future reader to "fix" the legacy collapse and
break that parity.
