The hand-off parked a password before its question, for up to five
minutes, and on a shared computer another local user could ask for
someone's sign-in with a link of their own. Now nothing leaves the page
before the yes, and the instance has a switch for such machines.
- `/check` tests a password and keeps nothing, `/park` runs on the yes and
hands over tokens wherever the server allows, a password as a last
resort
- `/discard` and a timer take out what SSO has to park first, and a no
revokes the refresh token, and the shared store's TTL is the real expiry
- `DESKTOP_BROWSER_SIGN_IN`, default on, closes the routes, the page's
hand-off and the app's button; the question says which device asked
- tokens from a typed password stay a password account under the name
typed (#1432)
- redeem refuses a server of the user's own when the device's rule says
no
- the park budget is reserved before going upstream, and only failures
count
- "Not now" ends the flow in the app at once, and the question names the
account
`desktop-handoff-routes.test.ts` now tests the two-step flow against the
real budgets. `sso-start-route.test.ts`'s config mock answers the new
setting, and the SSO test's expected answer has the account in it.
Admins had logs and nothing else: client errors only reached the
browser console. An admin can now set a Sentry-protocol address (DSN)
for Bugsink, GlitchTip or Sentry under System > Monitoring, or with
`ERROR_REPORTING_DSN`, `ERROR_REPORTING_DSN_FILE`,
`ERROR_REPORTING_SAMPLE_RATE` and `ERROR_REPORTING_ENVIRONMENT`.
Bulwark Lite reads the same from `errorReporting` in policy.json.
Everything stays off while no address is set.
- browsers report errors from the error boundaries, window.onerror,
unhandled rejections and failed JMAP requests (method and error type
only), with route and JMAP method breadcrumbs and the chunks' debug IDs
- the server reports what Next hands to onRequestError and what routes
log with logger.error
- every report is scrubbed first: quoted text, addresses, URLs, file
names, tokens and the rest after the first line are removed, and the
server scrubs what browsers post to /api/errors again
- reports are deduplicated and rate-limited per session and process
- errors are counted per day for "errors today" on the admin page
- startup messages and audit entries go through the logger, so
`LOG_FORMAT=json` covers them
A server entry's OAuth client ID already has a meaning while OAuth is
off globally: it is the registered client that password and TOTP logins
use with Stalwart's require_client_registration. The PR made every such
entry offer OAuth on its own, so existing installs would suddenly run
discovery and show SSO buttons on the login page, and multi-IdP setups
would get one extra button per server.
A server now gets its own button only with both a client ID and a button
label, which no existing config has. The rule lives in `offersOwnOAuth`
with a test. Also:
- the OAuth-only login form uses the selected server's label
- the public config validator checks `buttonLabel` is a string
- the admin hint and `.env.example` say the label enables the button
Retry interrupted or invalid runtime configuration requests with bounded backoff and per-attempt timeouts. Validate the complete response before caching it, and prevent stale HTTP-cached configuration.
Cover request and body timeouts, shared hook consumers, retry bounds, the server response contract, and both Lite configuration paths.
